1. قَدْ قُلْتُ لِلْكَأسِ وَأَبْصَرْتُهَا

    تَلْثُمُهُ طُوبَاكَ يَا كَاسَهُ

    I said to the cup as I looked upon it,

    "Blessed are you, O cup, when his lips touch you!"

  2. طُوَباكَ إِذْ أَدْنَاكَ مِنْ ثَغْرِهِ

    فَاخْتَلَسَتْ رَيَّاكَ أَنْفَاسَهُ

    Blessed are you when I bring you close to his mouth

    And you steal the moisture of his breath.
