حَذَراً عليه من الحدِيْثِ الجاري

I concealed my love for you from him and hid it

Fearing the gossip that was going around

إني متى أُخْبِرْ بِحُبِّكَ إِخْوَتي

حَسَدُوا عَلَيْكِ فَضَيّعُوا أسْرَاري

Indeed whenever I told my brothers of my love for you

They envied you and betrayed my secrets
