1. أَتَّخِذُ اللَّيْلَ جَمَلْ

    مَا حُمِّلَ اللَّيْلُ حَمَلْ

    I take the night as a camel

    The night is not burdened with any load

  2. واللَّيْلُ فِيْهِ مُتْعَةٌ

    وَاللَّيْلُ أَخْلَى لِلْعَمَلْ

    The night contains pleasure

    And the night leaves time for work

  3. آمَنُ فِيْهِ زَائِرَاً

    يَشْغَلُنِي عَنِ الشُّغُلْ

    In it I feel secure from visitors

    It distracts me from worldly cares

  4. وَإِنْ عَرَانِي مَلَلٌ

    نَفَيْتُ بِالرَّاحِ المَلَلْ

    And if boredom befalls me

    I dispel it with a gentle breeze
