صَحَّتْ مَقَادِرُ ضَرْبهَا وَحِسَابِهَا

وَغِنَائِهَا وَتَوازَنَتْ فِي الأَنْفُسِ

The calculations of its strokes and accounting

And its sufficiency and balance in the souls

وَكَأَنَّ أَشْكَالَ المُثَلَّثِ إِنَّمَا

يُؤْخّذْنَ عَنْهَا لَيْسَ عَنْ إِقْلِيْدِسِ

Are as if the shapes of triangles

Are derived from it, not from Euclid
