يا راحُ قُمْ فأحْيِنَا بالرَّاحِ

أما تَرَى طلائِعَ الصَّبَاحِ

O breeze arise and bring us peace with your breath

Don't you see the first lights of dawn

كالدُّهْمِ قَدْ طَوَّقْنَ بالأوضَاحِ

فَعَاطِنَا صَدِيْقَةَ الأرْوَاحِ

Surrounding us like swirling smoke

So grant us the company of gentle spirits

وأضْحِكِ الأَكْوَابَ بالأَقْداحِ

عن ذَهَبٍ في نَكْهَة التُّفّاحِ

And make the cups laugh with the goblets

With the gold of apple's exquisite taste

فَقَامَ يَهْتَزُّ مِنَ المِرَاحِ

جَذَلاَتِ يَفْتَرّث عَنِ الأقاحي

So it rose, swaying gently in the breeze

Its tendrils softly swaying from the branches

بَيْنَ الغُلاَمِ المَاجِنِ الوَقَاحِ

والغَادَةِ المَمْكُورَةِ الرَّدَاحِ

Between the shameless flirting lad

And the noisy, chattering lass

وَبَيْنَ مُغْني البِيْضِ والأحْرَاحِ

يَالَكَ من وِرْدٍ لَهُ مُبَاحِ

And between the singer of love and passion

Oh what a rose it is, open to all

لَيْسَ عَلَيْنَا فِيْهِ من جُنَاحِ

With no shame upon us in this
