A maiden alluring hearts
And wounding her berries when she sings
When she trills everything grows
Inanimate objects and voices attend to her
And earth almost comes alive for her
Life is restored in the dead by her songs
She desires to meet me then appears
But her mistress' fear prevents her
I wore amulets from her books
And got used to the scent of her greetings
But that only increased my longing
For her company and whispers
