I tried to unravel Egypt's secret, and her Nile

I hesitated in my matter, and my guide got lost

If I'm absent from it, don't leave my passion

Until I return to the banks of the Nile

So when I come, I cannot resist its magic

And my knees shake from glorification

I compared Egypt to others, so she coquetted

And I failed to find her equal

What is Egypt's secret? For who but you is my stumbling block

Is there a way to heal my illness?

From the towering heights to the heights

In every established field marked with proof

This civilization is miracles on earth

Time has been barren of its like as a substitute

God raised her status, and glorified it

In the mention, Torah, and Gospel

They brought Joseph from the depths of darkness

To the land of the Aziz, so he was the best guest

In adversity, who but you Egypt took care

Of the House of Prophethood with generous giving?

And the Nile follows the revelation of its Maker

Like a bird at revelation, the year of the Elephant

It leans over a child who fell asleep in his crib

So how many hands has your Nile with good?

In Mount Sinai, our Lord was revealed

Above the Burning Bush, with the first revelation

And also the Virgin, she came to Egypt with her son

Seeking safety, and sheltering in a cradle

It suffices you, O Land of Canaan, that Hagar

Inclined towards you, O Canaanite incline towards me!

O Mother of Ishmael, your connection is a duty

Whoever estranges Egypt has brought something momentous

In your soil lies the best of the progeny of the Messengers

A perfume that diffuses, and a balm for the sick

This is the care of the Capable One, with which

Egypt was singled out, to remain the place of preference

Blessed is Egypt, I cannot fully convey

The right praise, even if I exhaust my path

I wanted prolixity, and my excuse is that

When your brilliance appeared, my wick went out

You are the light, and without your brilliance

There is no light for us, O bride of the Nile

O Egypt: May God protect you as He protected

His revelation from a wanton aggressor
