سأهجر داراً شدت بالعز ركنها

ولو لم اكن شهماً لذل عزيزها

I will abandon a house though it has pillars of glory

Even if I were not magnanimous, its glory would still humble me

وقمت بها في همة هاشمية

أجمع من أشتاتها وأحوزها

And I stood in it with Hashimite determination

To bring together its fragments and possess it

واوقدت ناراً في دجى الليل للقرى

أحيي بها أضيافها واجيزها

And I lit a fire in the darkness of night for the villages

With it I welcome its guests and reward them
