Sol 5.6

  1. And I am of a people in whose infant there appears

through inborn insight, the mark of leadership while still in the cradle.

  2. If I have no champion from among my father’s sons,

then my resolve and sound judgment suffice me in place of a host.

  3. When a man of lofty ambition reaches the summit through his people,

my soul whispers that I shall attain it alone.
