قَدِ اصْفَرَّ من طولِ الإقامةِ حائِلُهْ

بُبرقانه ثُلْثٌ وبالخَرْتِ ثلثُه

وبالحائطِ الأعلى أقامتْ عيائِلُهْ

A third by the window, a third on the mat

له صُفرةٌ فوق العيونِ كأنها

بقايا شعاع الأفْقِ والليلُ شاملُهْ
