ياوفد حياك الربيع وطالما

أسر المشاعر زاهياً مترنما

O delegation, spring greeted you, and for so long

It captivated feelings, blooming and chanting,

ملأ الخمائل والشواطيء والربى

شعرا وأطرب بالنشيد وألهما

It filled the valleys, shores and countryside

With poetry, and was ecstatic with singing and inspiration.

ما هز أعواد المنابر قائل

أو مس أوتار الشعور وهوما

Whatever shook the pulpits saying,

Or touched the strings of feeling and fervor,

إلا حكى لحن الربيع وسحره

أو كان عن سحر الربيع مترجما

Only told the melody of spring and its magic,

Or was translating the magic of spring.

أنا ما نظمت الشعر يوم لقائكم

لكنما طربي طغى فتكلما

I did not compose poetry the day I met you,

But my joy overflowed so I spoke.

حيتك يا وفد البيان خواطر

نشوى تطوف حول ركبك حوما

I greet your eloquence, O delegation, with thoughts

That hover around your caravan obsessively.

يهفو لمقدمك الشباب مرددا

لحنا بقيثار النفوس منغما

The youth flock to your arrival reciting

A melody with the lyres of souls composed.

وهج الجهاد يشع من أقلامكم

فيزيد من عزم الشباب تضرما

The flame of jihad shines from your pens

Increasing the youth’s resolve to blaze.

وإذا الحوادث أرعدت وتلبدت

سحبا وأغطش ليلها وتجهما

And if calamities thunder and gloom

Clouds, and its night overwhelms and frowns,

إني لأبصر في ضياء وجوهكم

فجرا ينير لنا الطريق المعتما

I still see in the light of your faces

A dawn that illuminates our darkened path.

باغ يظن قواه توهن عزمكم

ساءت مآربه وساء توهما

A tyrant who thinks your resolve weakens,

His schemes are evil and his delusions vile.

كم وقفة ميمونة كانت لكم

دوى صداها بين أرجاء الحمى

How many blessed stands you have taken

Whose echo resounded in the domains of zeal!

وطنية سنعد من نيرانها

للمعتدين على الحقوق جهنما

With patriotism we will prepare for the aggressors

Against rights a hellish inferno.
