    فاقت يدي حاتم فعلا لخيرات

  9. أهجت مني شعورا كامنا فبدا

    رغمي وأبرزته في بعض أبيات

    You have provoked in me a latent feeling that emerged

    Despite me and I presented it in some verses

  10. وكان شيطان شعري لا يطاوعني

    ولا يجود بشيء غير آهات

    And my poetry devil would not obey me

    Or bestow anything but sighs

  11. فما الذي جاء بالملعون أحسبه

    قد طالع الراي أو بعض المجلات

    What brought about the accursed one, I reckon

    Saw Al Rai or some of the magazines

  12. لناقد لا يرى في النقد فائدة

    إن لم يكن خالصا للعلم والذات

    A critic who does not see any benefit in criticism

    Unless it is pure for science and self

  13. أو كاتب ثائر يدعو الشباب إلى

    خير الفعال وترك للضلالات

    Or an angry writer who calls on the youth

    To the best deeds and leaving misguidance

  14. أو رامز لفكاهات يخالطها

    جد يمازحه حلو الدعابات

    Or one who hints at humor interspersed

    With serious playfully sweet joking

  15. ومن هم إنهم طلاب مدرسة

    هذا هو الفوز في المستقبل الآتي

    And they are students of a school

    This is the win in the coming future
