كتمت هواك حتى عيل صبري

وادنتني مكاتمتي لرمسي

I concealed my love for you until my patience weakened,

And my concealment brought me closer to speaking.

فلم أقدر على إخفاء حال

يحول بها الأسى دون التآسي

So I could not hide my condition,

With which sorrow prevents intimacy.

وحبك مالك لحظي ولفظي

وإظهاري وإضماري وحسي

Your love owns my glance, my words,

My expression, my concealment, and my feelings.

فإن أنطق ففيك جميع لفظي

وإن أصمت ففيك حديث نفسي

If I speak, then all my words are about you,

And if I am silent, then you are my thoughts' conversation.
