Do you know that my heart is infatuated
And my eyelids cannot be shut by sleep
My life or death with you is the same
So is my blame or reproach
Your place in my heart is vast and settled
You made it good and stayed there
The guide of my love is the beating of my heart
And its weeping eyelids are my overseer
Your cheek is a tender rose and flowers
And your face outshines the full moon
My bliss is in your consent, you are my comfort
So cure this agonizing illness
My torment in you, my Master, is sweet
And through you came my madness and infatuation
With your lips are necklaces of precious pearls
And corals wandering with wine
You were called to love by a tall, straight stature
And eyelids with which people were enchanted
When I am alone I pour out my sorrows
And my lamentations humble me
To whom can I complain of what I suffer
And my eyes have brought me tender love
The musical tone of the flute player
Revived his beloved friends
For I have spent a long time with it
And my cloak is attached to my beloved
Whenever you wish the name of the one my heart loves
That is the name with which speech begins
