1. أرفعوا للأنس ريّا

    فالمبيت في فحص ريّا

    Raise praise to the radiant days

    For resting within this glade so fair

  2. أي مجال فيه للنزيها

    وام يجمع من مرافق

    What open space offers more delight

    Where one gathers with beloved companions?

  3. فيه نورك للخلاعا

    بين جملا من معاشق

    Amid sweet conversations and laughter

    Hunting birds together in this haven

  4. والتمالخ ثم تصطاد

    الطيور مع السلالق

    First, my love, you arrived into view

    With faces like sweet sleepers

  5. ومعي أول بدينا

    أحبيبي ما بين اديّا

    Passion not diminished or made dull

    Emptying cups, refilling with joy

  6. بوجوه بحال المسمين

    لا يحمو ولعبّ

    Giving drink from what we cherish

    If drink remains, on heads we pour

  7. فنفرّغ كاس ونمله

    ونسقيه من نحب

    Not wasting drops held dear

    I pressed no juice, unless

  8. وان ترك فالقاع بقيّا

    فعلى راس نصُبّ

    It flowed freely from vine

    "The cold makes one numb," you said

  9. ما عصرت بسقيّا

    إل بش يجري سقيّا

    "A fire must spark midst the wine."

    Kindle the flame, my heart's delight

  10. قال لي فيه البرد يخدر

    يحتج الإنسان لمجمر

    As the goblets with red wine shine

    This night surpasses all nights

  11. اشعل النار يا مقابل

    فالكيوس من خمران أحمر

    Awake! Make merry, let worries sleep!

    Purity weaves this moonlight cloth

  12. هذا هو ليل الليالي

    بالغنا والفرح يسهر

    No fears or doubts steal our peace

    May the Lord protect the blessed one

  13. نقطعه بيضا نقيّا

    لا مخاف ولا تقيّا

    Who gives so freely from goodness and care

    Granting, enriching, merciful, kind

  14. رب يحرز المؤيد

    الذي من خير ننفق

    What thanks suffice for such fortune?

    Gratitude itself speaks his praise

  15. فه يعطي وه يغني

    وه يرحم وه يشفق

    The Lord granted him days of glory

    Boasts and legends fall short

  16. ما عسى نقول فشكر

    والوجود بشكر ينطق

    Of his magnanimity and grace

    Long have I, a bard, held my tongue

  17. إن رب ذا البنيّا

    قد عطاه دول هنيّا

    Fearing to burden or bore

    But now briefly I honor him in verse

  18. فالمفاخر عن تروا

    والمكارم عن تنقل

    And compose this simple ode

    The guardian streams endlessly

  19. ونطول كنت زجلي

    ونمي نخشي نثقل

    Like a spring pouring from the hills

  20. فاختصرت في كلامي

    ونظمت قد من قل

  21. ذا الرقيب يجري وريّا

    مثل قابض ببريا
