1. هي نفحةٌ هبت من الأنصارِ

    أهدتك فتحَ ممالك الأمصارِ

    It is a breeze that blew from the supporters

    Who gifted you the opening of the kingdoms of cities

  2. في بشرها وبشارة الدنيا بها

    مستمتع الأسماع والأبصارِ

    In its good news and tidings to the world through it

    The ears and the sights are delighted

  3. هبَت على قطر الجهاد فروّضت

    أرجاءه بالنفحة المعطارِ

    It blew on the drop of jihad, so it obliged

    Its spaces with the fragrant breeze

  4. وسرت وأمر الله طيَّ برودها

    يهدي البرية صنع لطف الباري

    It passed, and God’s command folded its coldness

    To guide the land, the work of the Graceful Doer

  5. مرّت بأرواح المنابر فانبرت

    خطباؤها مفتنّة الأطيارِ

    It passed by the souls of the pulpits, so its preachers arose

    Charming the birds

  6. حنّت معارجها إلى أعشارها

    لما سمعن بها حنين عِشارِ

    Its paths bowed to its plains

    When they heard the yearning of dwellers

  7. لو أنصَفَتْكَ لكلَّلت أدواحها

    تلك البشائرُ يانع الأزهارِ

    If it did you justice, it would crown its seasons

    Those good news, oh beautiful flowers

  8. فتح الفتوح أتاك في حلل الرضى

    بعجائب الأزمان والأعصارِ

    The opening of openings came to you in garments of contentment

    With wonders of eras and times

  9. فتح الفتوح جنيت من أفنانه

    ما شئت من نصر ومن أنصارِ

    The opening of openings whose splendors you harvested

    What you wished for of victory and supporters

  10. كم آيةٍ لك في السعود جليةٍ

    خلّدتَ منها عبرة استبصارِ

    How clear are the signs for you in prosperity

    You immortalized lessons from them to gain insight

  11. كم حكمةٍ لك في النفوس خفيةٍ

    خفيت مداركها عن الأفكارِ

    How hidden is the wisdom for you in the souls

    Its realms hidden from thoughts

  12. كم من أمير أمَّ بابكَ فانثنى

    يُدعى الخليفةَ دعوة الإكبارِ

    How many a prince lined up at your door

    Calling the Caliph with utter glorification

  13. أعطيتَ أحمد رايةً منصورةً

    بركاتها تسري من الأنصارِ

    You gave Ahmed a victorious banner

    Its blessings emanating from the supporters

  14. أركبتَه في المنشآت كأنما

    جهزته في وجهة لمزارِ

    You mounted him amidst glorious undertakings

    As if you prepared him for pilgrimage direction

  15. من كل خافقة الشراع مصفّقٍ

    مها الجناحُ تطير كل مطارِ

    Every fluttering sail applauds for him

    Its wings fly like a bird's

  16. ألقت بأيدي الريح فضلَ عِنانها

    فتكاد تسبق لمحة الأبصارِ

    It casts with the winds the excess of its bridle

    It almost outpaces glances’ swiftness

  17. مثل الجياد تدافعت وتسابقت

    من طافح الأمواج في مضمارِ

    Like steeds, they compete and race

    From frothing waves in a racetrack

  18. للهِ منها في المجاز سوابحٌ

    وقفت عليك الفخر وهي جواري

    For God, swimmers amongst them in allegory

    Who grace and are your beautiful maidens

  19. لما قصدت لها مراسِيَ سبتةٍ

    عطفت على الأسوار عطف سوارِ

    When it headed for its landing place in Ceuta

    It glanced at the fences like a bracelet

  20. لما رأت من صبح عزمك غُرةً

    محفوفة بأشعة الأنوارِ

    When it saw the first light of your determination scudding

    Surrounded by the beams of lights

  21. ورأت جبيناً دونه شمس الضحى

    لَبَّتْكَ بالإِجلال والإِكبارِ

    And it saw a forehead with the dawn sun beneath it

    It paid you reverence and utmost magnificence

  22. فأقضت فيها من نداك مواهباً

    حسنت مواقعها على التكرارِ

    So it handed over its vulnerable possessions

    Improving their positions with frequenting

  23. وأريتَ أهل الغرب عزم مُغَرَّب

    قد ساعدته غرائب الأقدارِ

    And you showed people of the west your abandoned determination

    Strangeness of fate assisted it

  24. وخطبت من فاسَ الجديدِ عقيلةً

    لَبَّتْكَ طوع تسرّع وبدارِ

    And Ceuta sued for peace from the new Fez

    Paying you homage willfully and with houses

  25. ما صدّقوا مَتْنَ الحديث بفتحها

    حتى رأوه في متون شِفارِ

    They did not believe the text of the news about its opening

    Until they saw it in the compositions of poems

  26. وتسمّعوا الأخبار باستفتاحها

    والخُبْرُ قد أغنى عن الأخبارِ

    And listened to news of its conquest

    As narratives were sufficient over reports

  27. قولوا لقردِ في الوزارة غرَّهُ

    حلم مَنَنْتَ به على مقدارِ

    Tell the obstinate monkey in ministry whom you pardoned

    The dream you bestowed on him in moderation

  28. أسكنتَه من فاسَ جنَّة ملكها

    متنعماً منها بدار قرارِ

    You settled him in Fez, a paradise kingdom

    Living luxuriously in an abode of stability

  29. حتى إذا كفر الصَّنيعةَ وازدرى

    بحقوقها ألحقته بالنارِ

    Until when he disbelieved the blessing and belittled

    Its rights, you condemned him to the Fire

  30. جرَعتَ نَجْلَ الكاس كأساً مُرْةً

    دَسَّتْ إليه الحتف في الإسكارِ

    You made him drink the bitter cup forcibly

    Fate cast death unto him intoxicated

  31. كفر الذي أوليته من نعمة

    لا تأنْسُ النَّعماء بالكفّارِ

    He who you gave grace disbelieved it

    The graceful are not cordial with the ungrateful

  32. فطرحتَه طرح النواة فلم يَفُزْ

    من عزِّ مغربِهِ بغير فرارِ

    So you tossed him like debris; he did not succeed

    Except by fleeing his glorious Maghrib

  33. لم يتفق لخليفة مثلُ الذي

    أعطى الإلهُ خليفةَ الأنصارِ

    No caliph attained what the God granted

    The caliph of the supporters

  34. لم أدرِ والأيام ذات عجائبِ

    تردادها يحلو على التذكارِ

    I do not know - days are full of wonders

    It's sweet remembering their back and forth

  35. ألِواءُ صبحٍ في ثنيّة مشرق

    أمْ رايةٌ في جحفل جرَّارِ

    Are they the banners of dawn in the shining East

    Or a flag in an arduous army?

  36. وشهاب أفق أم سنانٌ لامع

    ينقضُّ نجْماً في سماء غبارِ

    A horizon aglow or a bare flashing sword

    Vanquishing a star in dusty sky?

  37. ومناقب المولى الإمام محمدٍ

    قد أشرقت أمْ هنَّ زُهرُ درَاري

    The virtues of the Imam Muhammad

    Shone, or Did the Radiant's gardens bloom?

  38. فاق الملوك بهِمة عُلويّةٍ

    من دونها نجم السماء الساري

    He surpassed kings in sublime ambition

    Without which the orbiting star is debased

  39. لو صافح الكفَّ الخضيبَ بكفه

    فخرت بنهر للمجرة جاري

    If his bloody palm shook hands with him

    The Milky Way would pride in its flowing river

  40. والشهب تطمع في مطالع أفقها

    لو أحرزت منه منيع جوارِ

    Shooting stars hope to rise from its horizons

    If they gain invincible asylum

  41. سلْ بالمشارق صبحَها عن وجهه

    يفتر منه عن جبين نهارِ

    Ask the dawns about his face, it may reveal

    What dims the daylight on a shining morning

  42. سلْ بالغمائم صوبَها عن كفه

    تُنْبئْكَ عن بحر بها زخّارِ

    Ask the clouds about his palm; it will tell you

    Of an ocean white with foam from its waves

  43. سلْ بالبروق صفاحها عن عزمه

    تُخْبِرْكَ عن أمضى شباً وغِرارِ

    Ask the lightenings about his determination, they will inform you

    Of the most resolute night and caves

  44. قد أحرز الشيمَ الخطيرةَ عندما

    أمطى العزائم صهوة الأخطارِ

    He gained courageous morals whenever

    He extended ambitions to brave perils

  45. إن يلق ذو الإجرام صفحة صفحِهِ

    فسح القبول لهُ خُطا الأعمارِ

    If he meets a wicked person with his forgiveness

    He accepts him with lifespans' pardon

  46. يا من إذا هبّت نواسمُ حمده

    أزرتْ بعَرف الروضة المِعْطارِ

    O you, when fortunes of your praise rise

    The fragrant garden is decked

  47. يا من إذا افترّت مباسم بِشرهِ

    وهب النفوس وعاث في الإقتارِ

    You, when smiles of your good tidings radiate

    He gifts souls and remains in deprivation!

  48. يا من إذا طلعت شموس سعوده

    تُعشي أشعتها قُوى الإبصارِ

    You, when suns of your prosperity rise

    Their beams tire the seeing powers!

  49. قسماً بوجهك في الضياء وإنه

    شمسٌ تمدُّ الشمس بالأنوارِ

    I swear by your luminous face, it is

    A sun that provides the sun with lights

  50. قسماً بعزمك في المضاء فإنه

    سيفٌ تجرّده يدُ الأقدارِ

    I swear by your blazing determination, it is

    A sword unsheathed by the hands of fate

  51. لسماح كفك كلما استوهبتُه

    يُزري بغيث الديمة المدرارِ

    For your palm's geniality whenever I request it

    It rains copious blood rain

  52. للهِ حضرتك العليّة لم تزلْ

    يُلقي الغريبُ بها عصا التسيارِ

    By God, your sublime presence still

    Casts the estranged one's walking stick

  53. كم من طريد نازحٍ قذفت به

    أيدي النوى في القفر رَهُنَ سفارِ

    Many an outcast straying whom

    Destinies' hands flung into wilderness of exile

  54. بلّغتَه ما شاء من آماله

    فَسَلا عن الأوطان بالأوطارِ

    His hopes fulfilled however he wished

    Yearning thereby homelands' parts

  55. صيَّرت بالإحسانِ دارك دارَهُ

    مُتّعتَ بالحسنى وعُقبى الدارِ

    You made your land, through grace, his land

    Granting fine living and consequences of houses

  56. والخَلْقُ تعلم أنك الغوث الذي

    يُضفي عليها وافيَ الأستارِ

    And people know you are the downpour who

    Bestows adequate veils upon it

  57. كم دعوةٍ لك في المُحول مُجابةٍ

    أَغْرَت جفون المزن باستعبارِ

    Many a prayer in affliction you answer

    Tempting slumberous eyelids to whimper

  58. جاءت مجاري الدمع من قطر الندى

    فرعى الربيع لها حقوق الجارِ

    Tears’ streams came from dew’s droplets

    Springtime thereby heralding a neighbor’s rights

  59. فأعاد وجه الأرض طلقاً مُشرقاً

    متضاحكاً بمباسم النوّارِ

    Bringing the earth’s face beaming and laughing

    With buds’ smiles and rivers

  60. يا من مآثره وفضل جهاده

    تُحدي القطار بها إلى الأقطارِ

    You, whose glories and virtues of jihad

    Challenge carriages across regions

  61. حُطتَ البلاد ومن حوته ثغورها

    وكفى بسعدك حامياً لذمارِ

    You rallied countries and fortresses therein

    Your luck suffices guarding its centers

  62. فلرب بكر للفتوح خطبتها

    بالمشرفية والقنا الخطّارِ

    Many a virgin land did you speak for its conquest

    In Chefchaouen and the perilous canal

  63. وعقيلة للكفر لما رُعْتَها

    أخرست من ناقوسها المهذارِ

    Many a bride for blasphemy, when you gained it

    Silencing bells, noises and confusion

  64. أذهبت من صفح الوجود كيانَها

    ومحوتَها إِلاَّ من التّذكارِ

    You removed its existence from existence

    Effacing it save from memories

  65. عمروا بها جناتِ عدن زُخرفت

    ثم انْثَنَوْا عنها ديار بَوارِ

    They built in it Edens’ gardens decorated

    Then avoided it for demolition’s houses

  66. صبَّحْتَ منها روضةً مطلولةً

    فأعدتها للحين موقدَ نارِ

    You made it a cordoned bloom

    Returning it for now to the fire’s site

  67. واسودْ وجه الكفر من خزي متى

    ما احْمَرَّ وجه الأبيض البتّارِ

    The blasphemers' faces are black from shame whenever The cheeks of the white swords shine

    For many a blossom hailed in Ceuta

  68. ولرُبَّ روضٍ للقنا متأوّدٍ

    ناب الصهيل به عن الأطيارِ

    Horses' neighs from its birds dispelled

    Whatever the tongues’ flowers narrate its blossoms

  69. مهما حكت زُهرُ الأسنةِ زَهرَهُ

    حكتِ السيوف معاطف الأنهارِ

    Swords relate its streams’ banks

    Within it burning steel aflame

  70. متوقِّدٌ لهب الحديد بجوه

    تصلى به الأعداء لفح أوارِ

    Enemies will pray from its blazing sparks

    In each boxer’s grip, a bare sharp sword Like firewood kindling in preservation

  71. فبكلِّ ملتفت صقالٌ مشهرٌ

    قدّاح زندٍ للحفيظة واري

    In the palm of defender floating over a breast

    Billowing in summoning to readiness

  72. في كف أوعَ فوق نهدٍ سابح

    متموّج الأَعطاف في الإحضارِ

    From each provoked with a glimpse, brandishing

    Bearing arms against birds

  73. من كل منْحفز بلمحة بارق

    حمل السلاح به على طيار

    One whose dusklike assault comes as dawn appears

    At the vanguard army's beginning

  74. من أشهب كالصبح يطلع غرةً

    في مستهل العسكر الجرّارِ

    One whose darkness is like the night except

    Garbed not in black hair's adornment

  75. أو أدهمٍ كالليلِ إلاَّ أنه

    لم يرضَ بالجوزاء حلي عِذارِ

    One red like ember brandishing a blaze

    And flung himself into fierce flames

  76. أو أحمر كالجمر يذكي شعلةً

    وقد ارتمى من بأسه بشرار

    One fair-haired whom Beauty donned his skin

    And crowned with glory’s aura unfading

  77. أو أشقرٍ حلَّى الجمالُ أديمَهُ

    وكساهُ من زهو جلال نُضارِ

    One flame-colored as if he merges

    With the reddish sun in daylight

  78. أو أشعلٍ راق العيون كأنه

    غَلَسٌ يخالط سُدفةً بنهارِ

    Valorous and blond-haired steeds amid charges

    As if a garden blossoms in Spring

  79. شهبٌ وشقرٌ في الطراد كأنها

    روض تفتح عن شقيق بهارِ

    You disciplined them that they come not near a water-spring

    Until it mixes with blood

  80. عَوَّدْتَهَا أنْ ليس تقربُ منهلاً

    حتى يُخالَطَ بالدم الموْارِ

    You, whose days are treasures flashing in eras’ faces

    Glory to your banner preceded by your grandfather marcher

  81. يا أيّها الملك الذي أيامُهُ

    غُررٌ تلوح بأوجه الأعصارِ

    Bearing the banner of the best of mankind against blasphemers

    No wonder you surpassed kings in dominion

  82. يهني لواءك أنّ جَدَّكَ زاحف

    بلواء خير الخلق للكفارِ

    When your grandsire was master of supporters

    The early vanguards to guidance

  83. لا غروَ أنْ فُقْتَ الملوكَ سيادةً

    إِذْ كان جَدُّكَ سيِّدَ الأنصارِ

    And chosen to aid the Chosen One

    Rejoicing when the guest honored them

  84. السابقون الأولون إلى الهدى

    والمصطَفَوْنَ لنصرة المختارِ

    They set out shedding moons' faces

    From each bright-faced one, when singled out

  85. متهللون إذا النزيل عراهم

    سفروا له عن أوجه الأقمارِ

    Wearing the crown, honored in pride

    Dawning above a full moon when

  86. من كل وضاح الجبين إذا اجتبى

    تلقاه معصوباً بتاج فخار

    He wore favors and carried with dignity

    Ask about their standpoints in battle

  87. قد لاث صبحاً فوق بدر بعدما

    لبس المكارمَ وارتدى بوقارِ

    They mingled matters in separation

    For them are the elevations from elevations of its pride

  88. فاسألْ ببدرٍ عن مواقف بأسهم

    فهم تَلافَوْا أمره ببدارِ

    Narrators conveyed elevations of reports

    And when God’s Book praises them loudly

  89. لهم العوالي عن معالي فخرها

    نقلَ الرواةُ عواليَ الأخبارِ

    Palaces almost collapsed from poetry’s favor

    Son of those who when their pride is mentioned

  90. وإذا كتاب اللهِ يتلو حمدهم

    أودى القصور بمِنّةِ الأشعارِ

    Pride themselves with aromatic basil and carpenter

    Indeed, you clarified their vestiges

  91. يا ابن الذين إذا تُذوكر فخرهم

    فخروا بطيب أرومة ونجارِ

    When you sought vengeance for their religion

    You became heir of their glory and pride

  92. حقاً لقد أوضحتَ من آثارهم

    لما أخذت لدينهم بالثارِ

    Forgers of eras and cities

    Liberated from wishes' bouquet

  93. أصبحت وارث مجدهم وفخارهم

    ومشرْف الأعصار والأمصارِ

    Successfully spending and receiving

    Congratulations on a conquest comprising contentment

  94. يا صادراً في الفتح عن وِردِ المنى

    رِدْ ناجح الإيراد والإصدارِ

    Stallions prancing in garments of joy

    To you in full are eyes and loftiness

  95. واهنأ بفتح جاء يشتمل الرضى

    جذلان يرفل في حلى استبشار

    They greeted you in firsts of my thoughts

    Running nicely the talk of the young women

  96. وإليكها ملء العيون وسامةً

    حَيَّتْكَ بالأبكار من أفكاري

    Infatuated thereby old wineskins

    If the breath of praise touched them it ripened them

  97. تُجري حُداةُ العيس طيبَ حديثها

    يتعلَّلون به على الأكوارِ

    From it a breeze of your fragrant praise

    And it tilts from listening one as if I

  98. إن مسَّهم لفح الهجير أبلّهم

    منه نسيم ثنائكَ المعطارِ

    Proffered him thereby cups of potion

    Thought’s oceans cast therefrom essence

  99. وتُميل من أصغى لها فكأنّني

    عاطيته منها كؤوس عُقار

    When fingers described in seas

    Still you are to Islam a shelter whenever

  100. قذفت بحورُ الفكر منها جوهراً

    لما وصفت أناملاً ببحارِ

    Pilgrims direction the House of Coverings

    Protecting, Moon of Guidance, running thereby whatever

  101. لا زلت للإسلام ستراً كلما

    أمّ الحجيج البيت ذا الأستار

    Destinies’ preceders ruled

  102. ويقيت يا بدر الهدى تجري بما

    شاءت علاك سَوابقُ الأقدار
