1. قد طَلَعَتْ رايةُ الصَّباحِ

    وآذنَ الليلُ بالرَّحيلْ

    The banner of dawn has been raised

    And the night has announced its departure

  2. فباكرِ الروضَ باصْطباحِ

    واشربْ على زهرِهِ البَليلْ

    So visit the garden early in the morning

    And drink from its dripping cups

  3. فالوُرْقُ هَبَّتْ من السُبَاتِ

    لمنْبَرِ الدوحِ تخطُبُ

    For the leaves have awakened from slumber

    To preach on the pulpit of the meadow

  4. تسجَعُ مُفْتَنَّةَ اللُّغاتِ

    كُلٌّ عن الشوقِ يُغربُ

    Coquetting in eloquent words

    Each lamenting its longing

  5. والغصنُ بعدَ الذَّهابِ يَاتِي

    لأكؤسِ الطلِّ يشرَبُ

    And the branch comes back after leaving

    To drink from the cups of dew

  6. وأدمع السُّحْبِ في انسياحِ

    في كل روضٍ لها سبيلْ

    While tears of the clouds flow freely

    Through every garden path

  7. والجَوُّ مستبشرُ النَّواحِي

    يلعبُ بالصارمِ الصقيلْ

    And the air rejoices in the plains

    Playing with the polished sword

  8. قُمْ فاغتنمْ بهجةَ النفوسِ

    ما بَيْنَ نَوْرٍ وبين نورْ

    Rise and seize the joy of souls

    Between one light and another

  9. وشَفِّع الصبح بالشموسِ

    تديرها بيننا البدورْ

    Let the dawn intercede for the suns

    As they circle between us

  10. ونَبِّهِ الشَّربَ للكؤوسِ

    تُمزَجِ من ريقة الثغورْ

    And awaken your drinking for the cups

    Mixed from the saliva of the throats

  11. ما أَجْمَلَ الراحَ فوقَ راحِ

    صَفْراءَ كالشَّمْسِ في الأَصيلْ

    How beautiful is the breeze above the wind

    Yellow like the sun in the late morning

  12. تغادرُ الصدرَ ذا انشراح

    للأُنسِ في طَيِّهِ مَقيلْ

    It leaves the chest feeling carefree

    To rest in its folds

  13. ولا تَذَرْ خمرةَ الجُفونِ

    فَسُكْرُها في الهوى جنونْ

    And leave not the wine of the eyelids

    For its intoxication in love is madness

  14. ولتخشَ من أسهم العُيُونِ

    فَإِنَّهَا رائدُ المنونْ

    And beware of the arrows of eyes

    For they herald death

  15. عرضت منها إلى الفُتُونِ

    وكلُّ خطبٍ بها يهونْ

    I presented myself to the temptations

    And every endeavor with them seems trivial

  16. أهيمُ بالغادةِ الرَّداحِ

    والجِسْمُ من حُبِّها عَليلْ

    I wander aimlessly in the spacious meadow

    While my body is sick with love for it

  17. لَوْ بِتُّ منها عَلى اقتراحِ

    نَقَعْتُ من ريقها الغليلْ

    If I spent the night in its proximity

    I would drink the cure from its saliva

  18. أُوَاعِدُ الطيفَ للمنامِ

    ومَنْ لِعَيْنَيَّ بالمنامْ

    I made a date with the ghost for sleep

    But who will care for my eyes in sleep?

  19. أسهرُ في ليلةِ التمامِ

    وأنتَ يا بدرُ في التمامْ

    I stay up on the night of the full moon

    While you, oh full moon, are complete

  20. وأَلْثمُ الزهرَ في الكِمامِ

    عليه من ثغرِكَ ابتسامْ

    And I kiss the flowers in concealment

    On which your smile has bloomed

  21. سَفَرْتَ عن مَبْسِمِ الأقاحِ

    وَريقُكَ العَذْبُ سَلْسَبيلْ

    You went away from the smile of the meadows

    And your sweet saliva is a brook

  22. قُلْ ليَ يا رَبَّة الوشاحِ

    هلْ لي إلى الوصْلِ من سبيلْ

    Tell me, mistress of the scarf

    Is there a way for me to unite?

  23. يا لعبةَ الحسنِ زِدتَ حُسْنَا

    وللهوى حولكَ المطافْ

    Oh you handsomeness increased in beauty

    And desire revolves around you

  24. وغصنَ بانٍ إِذَا تَثَنَّى

    لو حان من زهرك القطافْ

    Like a bending branch of acacia

    If the time came to pluck your flowers

  25. أَلاَ انعطافٌ على المعَنَّى

    فالغصنُ يُزْهي بالانعطافْ

    Does not a turn on meaning

    Make the branch bloom with turning?

  26. أَصْبَحْتَ تَزْهُو على المِلاحِ

    بذلكَ المنْظَرِ الجميلْ

    You have become blooming at dawn

    With that beautiful spectacle

  27. ووجهُكَ الشمسُ في اتضاحِ

    لو أنها لم تكنْ تميلْ

    And your face is the sun in its rise

    If only it did not curve away

  28. ما الزَّهْرُ إِلاَّ بنظْم دُرِّ

    تُحْسَدُ في حُسْنِهِ العُقُودْ

    What are flowers but prose poems

    Whose beauty makes necklaces envious

  29. للملكِ الظاهرِ الأغّرِّ

    أكرمِ مَنْ حُفَّ بالسعودْ

    For the victorious bright king

    Reward the one clothed in good fortune

  30. محمدِ الحمدِ وابنِ نصرِ

    وباسطِ العدلِ في الوجودْ

    Muhammad of praise and son of victory

    And spreader of justice in existence

  31. مُساجِلِ السحبِ في السماحِ

    بالغيثِ من رِفْدِهِ الجليلْ

    Rivaling the clouds in generosity

    With rain from his abundant outpouring

  32. ومُخْجلِ البدرِ في اللياحِ

    بغُرَّةٍ مَا لَهَا مثيلْ

    And disgracing the moon in brilliance

    With a beauty that has no equal

  33. يا مُشْرِبَ الحبِّ في القلوبِ

    وواهبَ الصَّفْح للصِّفَاحْ

    Oh you who pours love into hearts

    And grants pardon to the impulsive

  34. نُصرتَ بالرعبِ في الحروبِ

    والرُّعبُ أجدَى من السِّلاَحْ

    You have triumphed through awe in wars

    For awe is better than weapons

  35. قد لُحْتَ من عالم الغيوبِ

    لم تعدمِ الفَوْزَ والفَلاَحْ

    You have emerged from the world of mysteries

    Never failing to win and prosper

  36. مراكشٌ نُهبَةُ افتتاحِ

    والصنعُ في فَتْحها جليلْ

    Marrakesh, plunder of conquest

    And its capture was great

  37. بشراك بالفتحِ والنجاحِ

    والشكرُ من ذلكَ القبيلْ

    I give you good news of opening and success

    For which thanks are due
