1. لك غُرَّةٌ ودَّ الصّباحُ جمالَها

    ومحاسنٌ تهوى البدور كمالَها

    Your youthful beauty glows like the radiance of morn,

    Your charms make hearts yearn like flowers in bloom.

  2. وشمائلٌ تحكي الرياضَ خِلالُها

    وأناملٌ ترجو الأنام خِلالَها

    Your graceful features tell of gardens verdant,

    Your hands hold hopes that yearn to be fulfilled.

  3. للمستعين خلافة نصريّةٌ

    عرفت ملوكُ العالمين جَلالَها

    To the victorious commander goes Imperial power,

    The rulers of the world have known his majesty.

  4. وأنا الذي قد نال منك معالياً

    تهدي النجومَ الزاهرات منالَها

    For me, who gained such glory from your grace,

    The shining stars send down their precious gifts.

  5. تهديه ما قد نلته من بعضها

    فالفخر كلُّ الفخر فيمن نالَها

    Sending the treasures gained from some of them,

    For in you all glory and honor reside.

  6. في كل يوم منك مِنَّةُ مُنعمٍ

    لو طاولت سمُكَ السما ما طالَها

    Each day you grant me gifts so generous

    That if extended toward the sky—they would not end.

  7. بلغتَ آمالَ العبيد فبُلِّغَتْ

    فيك العبيد من البقا آمالَها

    You fulfilled hopes of slaves, so hopes were told,

    In you the slaves find all they hope to keep.
