لا تغترب عن وطنٍ

واذكر تصاريفَ النّوى

Do not estrange yourself from a homeland

And remember the vicissitudes of fate

اما تَرى الغُصن اذا

ما فارقَ الأَصلَ ذَوى

For don't you see that a branch when

It is separated from its root withers away
