جاءَ الرَبيع وَهَذا

أَولى البَشائر مِنهُ

Spring has come and this

Is the first of its glad tidings

كَأَنَّما هُوَ ثَغرٌ

قَد جاءَ يَضحك عَنهُ

As though it were a mouth

That has come smiling broadly
