يا من هواهم أقام

في مهجتي واستقر

O you whose love settled

In my heart and dwelled

عطفاً على المستهام

بكم حليف السهر

Have mercy on the imploring one

O companion of insomnia

دمعه كفيض الغمام

من فقد باهي الغرر

Whose tears flow like rainclouds

For the loss of the shining pearls

من فرعه كالظلام

وجهه كالقمر

Whose face is like the moon

And whose branch is like darkness

قولوا لظبي الرمال

يسمح لهذا الكثيب

Tell the deer of the sand dunes

To forgive this hump

بقربه والوصال

لعل عيشه يطيب

To be near and unite

That his life may be sweet

ويتقي ذا الجلال

فيه الشهيد الرقيب

And avoid the Almighty

For the witness is martyred

من قبل يأتي الحما

م وتنطلق للحفر

Before the heat comes

And bursts forth to dig

يا صاحبي قم بنا فقد تمادى البعاد

وسر بنا سربنا حتى نوافي سعاد

My friend get up, for separation has been long

And walk with us, walk with us till we reach happiness

بمكة أو منى حيث اجتماع العهاد

نحظى بنيل المرام منها ونقضي الوطر

In Mecca or Mina where pilgrims gather

That we may attain our hopes and finish the journey

وبعد نأتي الرسول محمد المصطفى

خير الأنام الرسول نشكو من أهل الجفا

And then we will come to the Messenger Muhammad the Chosen One

The best of creations, the Messenger, we complain of the unjust people

من كل ظالم جهول كدر علينا الصفا

يا ربنا يا سلام غثنا بخير البشر

Of every ignorant oppressor who troubled our calm

O our Lord, O Peace, help us with the best of creations
