  1. يا من هو الملجأُ والمعقلُ

    مدح سواكَ اليومَ لا يحملُ

    O you who are the refuge and shelter

    Praising other than you today does not stand

  2. أَنت الذي إِن عدَّ أَهل العلا

    السابقُ الآخرُ والأولُ

    You are the one whom if the people of status counted

    The first, the last, and the foremost

  3. سموتَ قدراً أن يرىِ في الورى

    مِثلك في المعروفِ من يكملُ

    You have ascended in worth, that none in existence

    Can complete the good you do

  4. شبهتَ بالبدرِ وعند الورى

    أَنك أَبهى منه بل أكملُ

    You were compared to the full moon, yet in the view of people

    You are more radiant and perfect than it

  5. قاسوكَ بالبحرِ فكذبتهم

    البحرُ لا يبذلُ ما تبذلُ

    They likened you to the sea, but they lied

    The sea does not give what you give

  6. ما كأَبي القاسمِ بين الورى

    من ذا يدانيهِ ومن يعدلُ

    None in existence can equal my father Al-Qasim

    Who can match him and who can equate?

  7. نفسي تقيهِ السَوَء من سيدٍ

    بمدحه الأرزاقِ تستنزلُ

    My soul protects him from any harm from the master

    Through whose praise sustenance descends

  8. يا أَيها القاضي الذي كفهُ

    البحرُ في تيارِها جدولُ

    O you judge whom the sea in its currents

    Is but a stream

  9. حاشاكَ أَن تصغي إلى أَحمق

    أَصم أَعمى القلب لا يعقلُ

    Far be it from you to heed a fool

    Deaf, blind, whose heart does not reason

  10. يأمركم أن تنقضوا قولكم

    حاشاكمُ من ذا أَن تبخلوا

    Who orders you to break your word

    Far be it from you to withhold

  11. وخطكم لي عندكم شاهدٌ

    عدلُ على احسانكم يقبلُ

    And your covenant to me before you is a witness

    Justice for your kindness that accepts

  12. هذا وحقي بينكم واجب

    وحق غيري الضايع المهملُ

    This is my right among you and an obligation

    And the right of others, neglected and forgotten

  13. لو جئتكم مسترفداً منكمُ

    أضعافَه جدتثم ولم تبخلوا

    If I came to you destitute asking

    You would find multiples and not be stingy

  14. قولوا لمن بالنكث يأمركم

    دعْ عنك هذا نحنُ لا نفعلُ

    Say to those who order you to break faith

    "Desist from this, we will not do it."

  15. فقدرُ هذا هيّنٌ عندنا

    وحقُّ إسماعيل لا يُجهل

    For this is easy for us

    And the right of Ismail cannot be ignored

  16. لا زلتَ طولَ الدهر في نعمةِ

    وعمرها من عمره أطولُ

    You have remained, for all time, in bounty

    And its lifetime is longer than his
