After death, the opposite of what is desired is my desire:
the eyes forever pray that I may endure.
Death swept ʿUryān away, and he set forth,
away from us, to dwell beside his Lord in peace.
He journeyed by night to the Abode of Eternity; so mark the date:
“ʿUryān strides in the trailing robes of eternity.”
