وعَد الزمان وكان أكرم مسعدِ

ووفا بحسن صفائه المتجددِ

The time promised and was most generous

Faithful in its ever-renewing clarity

وأضاء آفاق السعود بكوكب

يعشى العيون بنورهِ المتوقدِ

And illuminated the horizons of Saudi with a star

That delights the eyes with its flaming light

وأذاع بشرى أحمدٍ فجميعنا

فرِح بمولود ومولده الندي

And it announced good news of Ahmad, so all of us

Were happy for the newborn and his noble birth

لا غرو إن عشق المعالي يافعاً

فالفرع يتبع أصله في السؤددِ

No wonder he loves greatness from his youth

For the branch follows the origin in dignity

كالبحر فاض زبرجداً والتبر أن

تج عسجداً والبدر جاء بفرقدِ

Like an ocean overflowing with aquamarines and pearls

Prostrating, and the full moon came with its halo

كم يا ربيع غمرتنا بمواهبٍ

تترى وكم لك في البرية من يدِ

O Spring, how many gifts you have flooded us with

Visible, and how many hands you have in the wilderness

أوردتنا صفواً أقر عيوننا

والصفو للإنسانِ عذب الموردِ

You brought us clear water that delighted our eyes

And clear water is sweetest for man to drink

ورقمت في طرس الزمانِ مؤرخاً

الخلق في فرح لمولد أحمدِ

And you recorded in the leaves of time, dating

The creation's joy for Ahmad's birth
