مسرى البشائر في ظهور رياضِ

أبهى وأزهر من زهور رياضِ

At Riyad’s appearance, the course of glad tidings

is lovelier and more radiant than the flowers of gardens.

فاطرب بمولده وتهِ بقدومه

وأفخر فدهرك عن شئونك راضِ

So rejoice at his birth, and exult in his arrival;

take pride—for your age is pleased with all your affairs.

واستقبل الأيام فهي بواسمِ

بعلاك واجْنِ ثمار غرس الماضي

Welcome the days, for they smile

upon your eminence; reap the fruits of what the past planted.

وأهنأ بإقبال الزمانِ فقد حبا

بولائهِ ونبا عن الإعراضِ

Delight in Time’s favoring turn: it has favored you

with its loyalty and recoiled from turning away.

واستجل ما رسم السرور مؤرخاً

يا صفو ميلاد زها برياضِ

And behold what joy has inscribed, setting the date:

O choicest birth, made radiant by Riyad!
