يستصعب القول الصريح لسانه

ويجىء بعد عنائهِ بالمبهمِ

Plain speech makes his tongue recoil,

And after his toil, he speaks the obscure.

وإذا عصاه لسانه يعتاضه

بالسب والقول الشديد المؤلمِ

If his tongue disobeys, he vents

With curses and harsh hurtful words.
