النُّورُ أشرقَ بالميامنِ رتَّلا

آياتِه القمرُ المنيرُ وبجَّلا

The light shone brightly on the auspicious side

Its verses the bright moon recited and glorified

نُورٌ أضاء المَشْـرِقَيْنِ وجاوزتْ

أعلامُه الآفاقَ هَدْيًا أمْثلا

A light that illuminated the two horizons and exceeded

Its flags guidance to the highest peaks

عَلَمُ النُّبوَّةِ لاحَ في عليائه

فتقهقرتْ جِنُّ الغَوايةِ خُذَّلا

The flag of prophethood shone in its loftiness

So the deviant demons retreated, defeated

وتصدَّعَتْ أعلامُ كِسـرَى هَيبةً

لمَّا جَلَا مِن نُورِ أحمدَ ما جَلَا

And the flags of Chosroes cracked in awe

When Ahmad's light shone like never before

يومٌ كأنَّ الدَّهرَ حلَّ رِحالَه

فيه فلَبَّى الأمسُ والغَدُ مُثَّلا

A day as if time had dismounted its stallion

Yesterday and tomorrow equally enthralled

يا رايةً رُفِعتْ بِنُورِكَ تهتدي

في نُورِها الدُّنيا بهاءً أكمَلا

O flag raised with your light to give guidance

The world shines in your glow more perfect

يا صفوةَ الرُّسُلِ الكِرامِ وخاتَمَ الـ(م)

ـنُّبَّاءِ يا خيرَ الورَى مَهْدَ العلا

O elite of honorable messengers and seal of the prophets

O best of creation, cradle of sublime virtues

أُرسِلتَ بالنُّورِ المبِينِ إلى الورى

فضلًا من الرَّحمنِ شاء تَفَضُّلا

You were sent with the clear light to the world

A blessing from the Merciful, excelling in grace

يهدي به الرَّحمنُ مَن شاء الهُدَى

ويُضِلُّ مَنْ تَخَذَ الضَّلالةَ مَعقِلا

With it the Merciful guides whom He wills to guidance

And lets astray whoever takes misguidance as refuge

يا صادقًا بَرًّا أمينًا دِينُه

مِن وحيِ ربِّكَ بالعلاءِ تنزَّلا

O truthful, righteous, trusted in his faith

With the revelation from your Lord descending from the Most High

إن كذَّبوكَ فإنَّ صِدقَكَ بَيِّنٌ

يهدي له الرَّحمنُ صمًّا جَنْدلا

If they deny you, your truth is evident

The Merciful guides to it the deaf and blind

أو يَخذلوكَ فإنَّ ربَّكَ ناصرٌ

وملائكُ الرَّحمنِ حولكَ نُزَّلا

Or if they let you down, your Lord is your supporter

And the angels of the Merciful surround you

وكفاكَ شَرَّ الهازئينَ فأصبحوا

للنَّاسِ أمثالًا وباتوا خُذَّلا

And sufficed you against the harm of scoffers, so they became

Examples for people and spent the night defeated

تدعو إلى الرَّحمنِ دعوةَ واثقٍ

وتذُودُ عن حوضِ الشَّـريعةِ أعزَلا

You call to the Merciful with confident invocation

And defend the basin of Shariah alone

وتَلينُ في القولِ اتِّقاءَ فظاظةٍ

وتجُودُ بالمعروف سمحًا مُقْبِلا

You soften your words avoiding bluntness

And give generously with goodwill

وتجودُ بالعفوِ الجمبلِ عنِ المسيـ

ـئِ سماحةً وتكرُّمًا وتفضُّلا

You pardon abundantly with graceful forgiveness

Magnanimity, nobility and favor

آياتُ ربِّكَ لا تزالُ مؤيِّدًا

لكَ ناصرًا لِمَنِ استطابَ تعقُّلا

The signs of your Lord remain supporting you

As an ally for whoever soundly comprehends

وحَباكَ بالمعراجِ كاملَ نعمةٍ

حين ارتقيتَ بِفَضلِه فوق العلا

And blessed you with the Ascension, perfect favor

When by His grace you ascended above the Most High

وأراكَ آياتٍ تجلَّى نُورُها

فَبِأيِّهَا كفروا وراموا موئلا

And showed you signs, His light manifested

So by which of them did they disbelieve and seek refuge

وهجرتَ دارَ الشّـِركِ هجْرَ مؤمِّلٍ

فتحًا قريبًا قد أتاكَ مُهلِّلا

You abandoned the home of polytheism with hopeful estrangement

An imminent opening that came to you gloriously declaring

وحَّدتَ بين الخزرَجِين فأصبحوا

رُوحَيْنِ في جسدٍ يشُوقُ تأمُّلا

You united the two Aus and Khazraj tribes so they became

Two spirits in one body seeking contemplation

العدلُ روحٌ والشَّـريعةُ مِنهجٌ

قد سادَ آفاقَ الدُّنا مستقبلا

Justice is spirit and Shariah is method

Dominating the horizons of the world ultimately

أتممتَ بالحسنى المكارمَ فانتهتْ

فوق الذُّرا بين الشَّمائلِ مَنزِلا

You perfected sublime virtues so you reached

Above the heights among the sublime traits an abode

وأرَيْتَ أهلَ الكفرِ كيف مآلهُم

وكذاك مَن ضلَّ الهُدَى أو ضُلِّلا

And saw the fate of the disbelieving people

And likewise whoever loses guidance or is misguided

هدَّمتَ صَرحَ بِنائهم فتهدَّموا

وتركتَهم عِبَرًا وراءكَ هُمَّلا

You demolished the edifice of their building so they collapsed

And left them lessons behind you troubled

وبِرايةِ الشُّورى أقمتَ دعائمًا

للدِّينِ تَهدي من أرادَ تمثُّلا

With the flag of consultation you erected pillars

For the religion guiding whoever sought understanding

فبأيِّ شيءٍ يكفرون على المَدَى

أمْ ما يجيبُ مجيبُهم متعلِّلا

So by what can they stubbornly disbelieve

Or what answer can their respondent give, excusing

إن يحْرقوا دُستورَكَ الأبديَّ أو

يَبغوا فسادًا في البريَّةِ أرذلا

If they burn your eternal constitution or

Seek corruption in the land, most immoral

فاللهُ ربُّكَ قد رَعاه بِحفظِه

واللهُ خيرُ الحافظِينَ على الملا

For Allah your Lord has protected it with His preservation

And Allah is the best of preservers against violation

ليرُدَّ كيدَ العابثينَ فكلَّما

ظنُّوا الصَّباحَ رأوه ليلًا ألْيَلا

To foil the scheming of mischief-makers so whenever

They thought it dawn, they saw it as night, a prolonged night

والموكبُ الماضي إلى عليائه

سيَظلُّ أسمَى العالَمِينَ وأفضلا

The procession marching to its loftiness

Will remain the highest of both worlds and the superior
