1. صباحك عيد مشرق وبنود

    ترفرف في أجوائنا ووفود

    Your morning is a radiant feast and gifts

    Flutter in our air and delegations

  2. تزف التهاني والأماني تحفه

    رياض رؤاها رائع وورود

    Bringing congratulations and wishes as presents

    Its visions are wonderful gardens and roses

  3. تضوع منها عطرها وأريجه

    يطيب به قلب جو وودود

    Their fragrance and aroma spreads

    To please the heart of a loving and friendly atmosphere

  4. محب يرى فيمن يحب سعادة

    تقاصر عنها جنة وخلود

    A lover sees the happiness of their beloved

    Beyond any paradise or eternity

  5. ولو حكم العقل اللبيب بدت له

    مصائب عقباها لظى ووقود

    And if sound logic ruled it would seem to him

    Misfortunes whose outcome is agony and fuel

  6. فيا تبعات الحب لولاك لم تكن

    لليلى ولا سلمى علي قيود

    So consequences of love without you there would be

    No Layla or Salma in bonds

  7. ولا ذنب لي لولا العيون التي رمن

    فؤاداً أثارته لمى وخدود

    And I am not to blame except for the eyes that threw

    A heart they stirred up with radiance and cheeks

  8. فأصبح هيماناً معنى بحبه

    لديه على ما يدعيه شهود

    So it became obsessed with its love

    To it what it claims is evidence

  9. ولكن حق الحب في الشرع ضائع

    وما كل حق ضائع سيعود

    But the right of love in law is lost

    And not every lost right will return

  10. إذا لم تناصره الفوارس والقن

    وتملأ آفاق البلاد جنود

    Unless it is supported by knights and spears

    And the horizons of the country fill with troops

  11. وإلا فلا حق يرد لأهله

    ولا عزة للدين سوف تعود

    Otherwise no right will return to its people

    Nor dignity to the religion will come back

  12. وكيف يسود المرء من غير همة

    لها الراسيات الشامخات تميد

    How can one prevail without ambition

    With firm pillars that tower

  13. وللعرب الأحرار عشرون دولة

    وثنتان والأخرى غداً ستسود

    The free Arabs have twenty states

    And two more tomorrow will prevail

  14. وكل له رأي وفكر ومنهج

    فهذا عميد في الهوى وعقيد

    Each has an opinion, thought and approach

    One a leader in love, the other a believer

  15. متى تلتقي آراؤكم وقلوبكم

    وتصدق منكم همة ووعود

    When will your views and hearts meet

    And sincere ambitions and promises come from you

  16. متى تنبذون الحقد والخلف خلفكم

    ويجمعكم دين لكم وعهود

    When will you abandon malice and the past behind you

    And a religion for you with covenants brings you together

  17. متى ومتى لا بارك الله في متى

    وحتى متى هذا لذاك يكيد

    When, when - May God not bless “when”

    And until when will this one plot against that

  18. وحتى متى هذا الشتات كأنن

    أبونا صليب والجدود يهود

    And until when is this disunity as if

    Our father is the cross and ancestors are Jews

  19. وأعداؤكم يستثمرون خلافكم

    وتكبر أطماع لهم وحدود

    Your enemies exploit your differences

    And their greed and borders grow

  20. وأنتم كما أنتم يقص جناحكم

    وتقطع أطراف لكم وعضود

    While you are as you are, clipping your wings

    And severing your limbs and forearms

  21. وما زلتم في هجعة من سباتكم

    أسكر بكم أم خيبة وخمود

    You still remain in the stupor of your slumber

    Intoxicated or disillusioned and subdued

  22. فقل لذوي التطبيع إن عدوكم

    طموح إلى سلب والحمى ولدود

    Tell those with natural dispositions your enemy’s

    Ambition is to loot, protect, and is affectionate

  23. وذلك مالا ترتضيه عروبة

    لها في هداها طارف وتليد

    This is not approved by an Arabism

    With enlightenment and tradition in its guidance

  24. فلا بد من فجر يزيل ضياؤه

    دياجير حقد وطؤهن شديد

    There must be a dawn whose light

    Dispels darknesses of malice and intense darkness

  25. بيوم بغيظ المعتدين وتلتقي

    على القدس رايات لنا وحشود

    A day enraging the aggressors and our flags meet

    In Jerusalem, no other banners but crowds

  26. وغاياتها الإسلام لا شيء غيره

    تدافع عن أهدافه وتذود

    Their purpose is Islam and nothing else

    Defending its goals and shielding

  27. تحررنا من عجزنا وخمولن

    وتبعث فينا العزم وهو جديد

    It liberates us from our incapacity and lethargy

    And inspires in us determination that is renewed

  28. فإما حياة نبذل المال والدم

    لعزتها أو موتة وهمود

    Either an honorable life sacrificing wealth and blood

    Or death and despair

  29. خذوا مثلا من زايد الخير واقتفو

    خطاه فإن الرأي منه سديد

    Follow the example of the benevolent Zayed

    His view is rightly guided

  30. أطلوا على ماضي الإمارات قبله

    وعودوا إلى التاريخ فهو شهيد

    Look at the UAE’s past before him

    And return to history for it bears witness

  31. ترون انقساماً واختلافا وفرقة

    أهاج لظاها جاهل ورشيد

    You see division, disagreement and sects

    Whose absurdity confused the ignorant and the wise

  32. فوحدها بعد التمزق والتقى

    على حبه كهل لها ووليد

    He united it after fragmentation and hearts met

    In love for him, elderly and young

  33. سلوا شعبه عن حمكه في بلاده

    تجبكم سهول للحمى ونجود

    Ask his people about his rule in the country

    That obliges you hospitality and camel herds

  34. فإن شئتم الحب الذي قد سما به

    فبالعدل ينمو الحب ثم يزيد

    If you desire the love he was elevated with

    Then with justice love grows and increases

  35. فكم قد دعاكم للوئام وحثكم

    عليه ولكن الخلاف عنيد

    How much he called you to harmony and urged you

    To it but discord is stubborn

  36. فيا ربنا نشكو إليك خلافن

    فإنك برٌ بالعباد ودود

    O Lord we complain to You about our conflict

    For You are righteous to Your servants and loving

  37. ويا ربنا إن العداة تألبو

    علينا وكل ظالم وحقود

    O Lord the enemies have attacked

    Us and every oppressor and resentful one

  38. ويا ربنا وحد على الخير أمة

    فإنك للفعال حين تريد

    O Lord unite the nation for good

    For when You want, You are Able to do

  39. ويا ربنا إنا رفعنا أكفن

    إليك ونحن السائلون عبيد

    O Lord we raised our palms

    To You and we are the asking slaves

  40. ويا ربنا إنا ظلمنا نفوسن

    وعفوك نرجوه وأنت حميد

    O Lord we wronged ourselves

    And we hope for Your pardon, You are Praiseworthy

  41. فلا تشمت الخصم اللدود بأمة

    لوجهك منها ركع وسجود

    So do not let the hostile enemy gloat over a nation

    From it came bowing and prostration
