Your eyes bear the polished sword,

Your cheek carries the beautiful rose.

My mind does not hesitate between a sword,

That kills, and a rose that revives the slain.

Your lips hide a string of pearls,

And take the pendant as a chain.

My eyes do not doubt between a necklace,

That adorns, and wine that hurts minds.

    A branch sways without wind,

No breeze caresses it a little.

The nature of the branch only trembles

At the idea of the breeze so it would sway.

Glory to God who created in you beauty,

So beautifully that I found no equal.

How strange is the matter of beauty,

I am so captivated, so confused by it.

It worries me, preoccupies me, and passes

Leaving heavy worries in my thoughts.

Sometimes it throws, hitting my heart

With its eyes, so it kills me.

Why me and love, and the spring of my life

Anger me and pursue the impossible?

Oh my misery! You have wearied my travel

My companions, my stays and departures.

The amulet did not stop, so if it abandoned me

I would lose the girl friend and the boy friend.
