  1. ما حقق الأمن إلا العدل في الأمم

    ولا السلام سوى الموفين بالذمم

    Justice alone brings security to nations

    And peace only to those true to their word,

  2. الناطقين بما تملي ضمائرهم

    دون انحياز لذي بطش وذي نقم

    Who speak what their conscience dictates

    Without bias for the tyrant or the avenger,

  3. لهم مع الحق تاريخ يشرفهم

    في مجلس الأمن أو في هيئة الأمم

    They have a history with truth that honors them

    In the Security Council or in the United Nations,

  4. يوازنون إذا قالوا... وإن حكمو

    فبالعدالة لا بالزور والتهم

    They weigh their words when they speak... and if they judge

    It is with justice, not falsehood and accusation.

  5. قل للقوي طالت أظافره

    في الناس إن دوام الحال لم يدم

    Say to the mighty whose claws

    Have long gripped the people: permanence cannot last.

  6. يبدل الله أحوال العباد فهل

    نبئت عن سحقه ( عادا وعن إرم )

    God changes the state of His servants - have you not heard

    Of the ruin of ‘Aad and of Iram?

  7. وللشعوب حقوق في مواطنه

    إن لم تنلها فلن تبخل بسفك دم

    The people have rights in their homelands;

    If denied them, they will not stint to shed blood.

  8. فناصروا كل مظلوم أضر به

    ظلم القوي وراعوا حرمة الذمم

    So support every oppressed soul wronged

    By the injustice of the mighty, and respect the sanctity of covenants,

  9. وطبقوا العدل إن العدل أنشاه

    لولا العدالة لم تنهض ولم تقم

    Apply justice, for it is justice that God established -

    Without justice foundations cannot stand nor rise.

  10. قد نص ميثاقها أن لا ممالأة

    ولا انحيازاً لذي ظلم وذي جرم

    Its charter stipulates no truckling to

    Or siding with the unjust and the criminal.

  11. فحوّلتها سياسات القوي إلى

    من ليس يعبأة بالأخلاق والقيم

    Yet policies of the powerful have turned it to

    One who cares not for morals or values.

  12. ما في السياسة دين يستعان به

    على المظالم بين الخصم والحكم

    There is no faith in politics to be invoked

    Against wrongs, between opponent and judge.

  13. دين السياسة في الدنيا مصالحه

    لا بأس بالكسب من حل ومن حرم

    The faith of politics in this world is its interests;

    No harm in profit from permitted or forbidden.

  14. إن حدثوك فبالكذب الذي عرفو

    وبالضمير الذي قد شيب بالنهم

    When they speak to you, it is with the lies they know

    And the conscience aged into gloom.

  15. تلك الضمائر لو صيغت فمن حجر

    قاس ومن طمع بالحقد متسم

    Were those consciences molded, they would be of unyielding

    Stone, or malice, poison, and gloom.

  16. لا شيء كالعدل إن العدل يصلحه

    ويصلح الناس من عرب ومن عجم

    Nothing like justice - justice reforms

    And reforms people, Arab and non-Arab alike.
