    وصف البليغ ولا الأمثال والخطب

    Their joy in you, a love too vast

    For eloquent description or parables and sermons

  3. شاهدت بعض الذي شاهدته فهمى

    دمع السرور على الخدين ينسكب

    I have seen some of what I have seen, so my understanding

    The tears of joy on the cheeks flowing

  4. وللسرور كما للحزن أدمعه

    من أنعم الله هذا المنظر العجب

    And for joy as for sorrow there are tears

    From the blessings of God, this wondrous sight

  5. لم يبق شيخ ولا طفل ولا امرأة

    تقاسم الحب فيك العجم والعرب

    No old man nor child nor woman remains

    Arabs and non-Arabs share love for you

  6. والحب ليس كمثل الحب منزلة

    ما المال ما الجاه دون الحب ما الذهب؟

    And love is not like love in status

    What is money, what is status without love, what is gold?

  7. لو أن من خلقوا للحب قد صدقو

    لم يبق ظلم ولا حقد ولا غضب

    If those who were created for love were truthful

    There would be no injustice, no hatred, no anger

  8. فإن أحبك هذا الناس واتجهت

    لك القلوب فأنت الأصل والسبب

    For if these people loved you and inclined

    Towards you their hearts, you are the origin and cause

  9. توجت حبك بالإحسان تكرمة

    فضلاً وبذلاً ونبلا فوق ما يجب

    You have crowned your love with kindness

    Benevolence, generosity, and nobility beyond what is deserved

  10. من وحد الشمل بالجهد العظيم ومن

    أعطى الجزيل ولم يمنن بما يهب

    You who united the nation with tremendous effort and

    Gave abundantly without begrudging what you give

  11. ومن بنى دولة بالعدل قائمة

    يحدو بها الحب لا الهندية القضب

    And built a just state

    In which love, not the Indian cane, flourishes

  12. فلا سجون ولا كبت ولا ضعة

    ولا مؤاخذة إلا بما كسبوا

    No prisons, no oppression, no disgrace

    And no accusations but for what they have earned

  13. من حول الارض من وحل ومن مدر

    رمالها بوقود الشمس تلتهب

    You turned the deserts

    With the fuel of the sun ablaze

  14. إلى نخيل وأشجار وفاكهة

    قطوفها التين والأعناب والرطب

    Into palm trees, trees, and fruits

    Whose bunches are figs, grapes, and dates

  15. ومن تبنى قضايا العرب قاطبة

    والمسلمين نأوا عنا أو اقتربوا

    You took up the causes of all Arabs

    Whether they drew near us or remained far

  16. ومد كفا بفيض الخير مترعة

    أعطت فأغنت فحيا فيضها العرب

    And extended a palm with abundant goodness

    Giving, enriching, bringing life with your overflowing goodness to Arabs

  17. سرت بعودتك الأوطان وابتهجت

    شعوبها وشداك الطائر الطرب

    With your return the homelands rejoiced

    their peoples were delighted and you brought joy to the birds

  18. شعراَ تخيره قلب، وباركه

    فهم، وشارك في تنظيمه الأدب

    Poetry chosen by the heart, blessed by

    understanding, and refined by literature

  19. من كل قافية بالحب مفعمة

    عصماء ما شابها زيف ولا كذب

    Every rhyme permeated with love

    Safeguarded from falsehood and lies

  20. فالحمد لله ما أولاك من نعم

    والحمد لله زال الشر والوصب

    So praise be to God for blessing you

    And praise be to God, evil and discord have ceased

  21. وعشت يا زائد ذخراً لأمتن

    تعلو بذكرك في عليائها الرتب

    And you have lived, Zayed, as treasure for our nation

    with your mention rising to the highest ranks
