شَفَيتُ نَفسي وَقَومي مِن سَراتِهِم
الصِعابِ وَوادي حارَبي ماسِ
I healed my soul and my people from their afflictions
Of hardships, and the valley of Al-Harb's heat
مَن لَم يَكُن قَد شَفى نَفساً بِقَتلِهِم
مِنّي فَذاقَ الَّذي ذاقوا مِنَ الباسِ
Whoever had not healed a soul by killing them
Tasted from me what they tasted of torment
