صدركَ الرَّحبُ والمناقب فيه
زاهياتٌ مثل النجوم المضيه
Your generous chest and merits in it
Are radiant like the shining stars
قد أرانا منَ البيان شُعاعاً
ومن الفضل حُلةً سُندسُية
You have shown us a beam of eloquence
And a garment of brocade
وسقانا من نثره سلسبيلاً
ومن النظم خَمرةً بابليه
And quenched our thirst with his pouring rain
And a Babylonian wine
إِنَّ صدراً رصعتهُ بالمعالي
لجديرٌ بالشارة الذهبية
A chest adorned with glories
Is worthy of the golden medal
وفؤَاداً ارويتهُ في صباهُ
من زُلال المعارف العصريَّه
And a heart I watered in his youth
From the fresh knowledge of the age
لَحريٌّ بأن يكون مَناراً
وحقيقٌ بالتهنئات السنية
It deserves to be a lighthouse
And truly deserves congratulations
عرفتكَ البلادُ من ربُع قرنٍ
بلبلاً في ربوعها الأدبيه
The countries have known you for a quarter century
As a nightingale in its literary territory
مُطرباً مسمعَ العلى بقوافٍ
غردت فوق غصنها الشاعريَّه
Delighting the hearing of the highest with poems
That twittered above its poetic branch
حولكَ النشءُ يشربون نِميراً
من مجاري آدابكَ الكَوثريَّه
Around you the youth drink pure
From the springs of your generous knowledge
حملوا رايةَ الجهادِ ونالوا
قصبَ السَّبق في مجال الحميَّه
They carried the banner of jihad and obtained
The forefront in the field of zeal
ان تكُن واحداً فحولك جيشٌ
دربتهُ اقوالكَ الحكمية
If you are one, your heroes are an army
Trained by your wise words
لغةُ العربِ قد حميتَ حماها
بيراعٍ أَمضى منَ المشرفيه
The language of the Arabs you have protected its protector
With a weapon sharper than sharpened
أَينما كنتَ ينشقُ الناسُ عَرفاً
مِن أَزاهيرِ أَصغريكَ الذكيه
Wherever you are, people make way
From the flowers of your intelligent juniors
وإذا كانتِ النفوسُ سكارى
بالتَّهاني تُهدى اليك نقيَّه
And if the souls are drunk
With congratulations sent to you purely
فالوسامُ الخطير يهتزُّ فخراً
فوقَ صدر تزينهُ الأريحيه
So the prestigious decoration shakes proudly
Above a chest adorned with comfort
فهنيئاً لكَ الوسامُ وأَولى
بالتَّهاني آثارُك الوطنيه
Congratulations on the medal and first
Deserving of congratulations are your patriotic works
كلُّ من يزرعُ الجميلَ كبيراً
يحصُدُ الشُّكرَ من قلوبٍ وفيه
Everyone who plants good greatly
Reaps thanks from faithful hearts
يا فِرنَسا وأنتِ في كل عصرٍ
آيةُ الله في سما العَبقرية
Oh France, and you in every age
God's sign in the sky of genius
علمينا كيف النُّبوغ يُجازى
فنراه في الأُمَة العربية
Teach us how genius is rewarded
We see it in the Arab nation
