لله درُّك من همام

علاَّمة هادٍ إمامْ

May Allah protect you from grief

A guiding leader with distinction

متميّز بمآثرٍ

بين الأنام على الأنام

Known for his great deeds

Among people, above people

هو منهم لكنه

أين النضار مُن الرغام

He is one of them, yet he is

Where are the alert from the negligent?

حامٍ حميمٌ للذرى

سامٍ على ابناء سام

A protector of mankind

Exalted among the exalted

قطبٌ يدور عليه دو

ر رحا المكارمِ والكرام

A pole around which destiny revolves

The virtues and nobilities orbit around him

جأشٌ حميد في الوغى

جيش على الجيش اللهّام

A praiseworthy fervor in calamity

An army against the army, oh Allah

ولكل مقدامٍ إذا

ما شاءه نكصَ الكهام

And for every brave soul, whenever

The undaunted retreat

أضحى إمام الناس طر

اً من بني حكم إمام

He became the leader of people, flying

From the Bani Hakam, a leader

سمح يؤوبُ لرحلة

عافيهِ بالمنن الجسام

Clement, returning from a

Journey with sublime blessings

علمٌ تسير بضوئه ال

مقوون أبناءُ الظلام

A flag whose light is followed by

The sons of darkness made steadfast

ذو عروةٍ أمنت قُوى

من الإنفصال والإنفصام

With a bond of unity secured against

Separation and division

ذو حجةٍ وبلاغة

وفصول أنواع الكلام

Of proof and eloquence

And branches of all speech

وذرى فسيحٌ بابه

وهو الكظيظ من الزّحام

With a spacious approach and he is

The most patient against congestion

ولأنت بعدُ متى مضيـ

ـت إلى وغى أمضى حسام

And you will remain after you pass

To the most resolute of resolute blades

يا كوثراً يلقى العفا

ةَ بالإبتهاجِ والابتسامْ

O a sea who meets amiability

With delight and smiles

وينيلهم حلو المُنى

وعد العدا مرَّ الحمام

And gives them the sweetness of purpose

And keeps away the worries like doves

وعلاؤُه بدل السنى

وسخاؤه بدل الغمام

With his family instead of years

And his generosity instead of clouds

وأعدَّ مسعاه إلى

يوم القيامة والقيامْ

And he aims his efforts towards

Judgement Day and the arising

والبرُّ يجزى في غد

برَّ المقامة والمقام

And good is rewarded tomorrow

For the abode and pillar

أجعلت وَفرك طعمةً

لحياة أجساد الطّغام

You made your abundance a feast

For the lives of the tyrants' bodies

حز من سهام ثوابِ ربـ

ـب العرش أضعاف السهام

And a share from the arrows of the Lord of the Throne

As multiples of arrows

وآحْيِ المدى مستوجباً

أزكى التحية والسلام

Revive the course deserving

The purest greetings and peace
