أُهدي السلام تحيةً

لأخي الإخاءِ أبي العلاء

I send peace as a greeting

to my brother of brotherhood, Abul Ala

وأقول إني عندما

يدريه من عهد الوفاءِ

And I say that when

he knows me from the era of loyalty

وجوابه قد سار قبـ

ـل محمّلاً طيب الثناء

and his answer went before

loaded with the finest praise

وإذا الوقوف أراد من

خبري على أجلي الجلاء

And if he wants from

my news at my time of departure

فليسأل القاضي العما

دَ أخا الجلالة والسناء

Then let him ask the pillar judge

my brother of majesty and glory
