لَم يَعِبكَ الِّي بِعَينِكَ عِندي
أنتَ أعلَى مِن أَن تُعَابَ وَأسنَى
That flaw in your eyes has not marred you in my sight;
you are too exalted to be faulted—and lovelier still.
لَطفَ اللهُ رَد سَهمَينِ سَهماً
رَأفَةً بِالعِبَادِ وازدَدتَ حُسنَا
God was gracious: He reduced two arrows to one,
out of compassion for His servants—and you grew more beautiful.
