I was angry for Khindif and his Qais
When he shirked from helping her, her coward
I defended her honor and prevented it
And for the likes of her I have the likes of them
I am a man who names poems for enemies
Indeed, the worst of poems are those that neglect them
My people, the tribe of war and help with their gathering
And Mashrafiya and Qana set them ablaze
Ma'rouf has always been known in battle
Qana ascendant and descending upon them
Since the era of Aad it's been known to us
Imprisoning kings, killing them and fighting them
