الله يا لبنانُ ما أَجملَكْ

وأروَعَ الشيبَ الذي جلَّلك

O Lebanon, how beautiful you are

And how magnificent is the old age that has crowned you

بين يديك الملكُ في جاهِهِ

على الثَّرى أو عزُّه في الفَلَكْ

Before you the king in his glory

On earth or his pride in the sky

زُهِيتَ بالتاجِ فما تأتي

تُودّع النورَ كما استقبلَكْ

You were adorned with the crown yet you do not

Say farewell to the light as you received it

في بَهجة الماسِ قُبَيل الضُّحى

ورَوعةِ الياقوتِ عند الحَلَك

In the delight of diamond near dawn

And the splendor of ruby at dusk

تُقبّل الشمسَ ضَحوكاً لها

ويضحَكُ الفجرُ متى قَبَّلك

You kiss the sun smiling at it

And the dawn smiles when it kisses you

واديكَ والسهلُ كَسِرّ المُنى

يُدرَكُ بالروحِ ولا يُمتَلكْ

Your valley and plains are the desire of wishes

Attained by the soul and cannot be possessed

سُبحانَ من خَبَّأ فيكَ الصَّفا

وسَلَّ من قلبِ الصَّفا جدْوَلَك

Glory to Him who hid purity in you

And flowed from the heart of purity your streams

ريّانَ أيَانَ ألْتقي سَرحةً

نشوانَ بالبهجةِ أنّى سلَكْ

Where and when will I meet a place

Joyous with bliss wherever it headed

أَنت نعيمُ اللهِ في وعدِهِ

مَثَّلتَ بالنَّعماءِ من مَثَّلَكْ

You are God’s paradise in His promise

You exemplified blessings for whoever exemplified you

لبنانُ هيّا نَتَشاكَى الهوى

لِيَ التصابِي فيكَ السّحرُ لَكْ

Lebanon, come let us share love

For me in you is the magic of enchantment
