هناءً بماري وإسكندرٍ

قرينةِ فضلٍ لخيرِ قرينْ

With gladness for Mary and Alexander

A pair of superior virtue and goodness

وحُبّاً بذات الكمالِ تُزَفُّ

إلى ذي الكمالِ الأَبرّ الأمينْ

And love for the one with perfect grace

Brought to the one with perfect and faithful grace

أقول وقد شاقني منهما

شبابٌ نضيرٌ وخُلقٌ رصينْ

I say, for in them I saw

A peerless youth and steadfast character

زواجكما اليومَ أرّختُ دام

برغد الحياةِ وعزّ البنين

Your marriage today I celebrate, may it last

With a life of prosperity and noble sons
