Do not hasten, for the night is dewy and cool
Oh whiteness of morning, and beauty is black
My two nights in the moist clay
One wing has gone, and one wing as if it would go
As if I were on the branches, plucking
The fruit, as it sways
In the fragrant breeze, in the sweet
Breath, in the soft sigh
Women: we are slaves in your glorious
Blackness, people of whiteness, we suffer and are joyful
Around your tents, in the stroke of
Misfortune, something as if threatening
And on the bosom of the shirt, to the waist
Witnessing the softness, the touch, the
Clinging, that I am not resting on another
A thousand branches in a thousand branch tremors
And rising with the branches and sitting
It would have been better if I had held the waist
But it almost knots in the palm
Leave the waist, for it slopes with the
Burden, and calls out wherever it strengthens
My night, long on the cheap marble
And in a glance from the blackness of agate
And lower the ebony, in the season of
Return, to the meadow of delights, most fertile
A festival for us, and swaying joy
Under the veil of night, and ample provision
