فَلا تَيأسا من رَحمَةِ اللَهِ وَاِنظُرا

بِوادي جَبونا أَن تَهُبَّ شَمالُ

Do not despair of the mercy of Allah, and look

Do not despair of the mercy of God, but look,

In the valley of Jubna for the north wind to blow

In the valley of Jabuna, for the north wind to blow.

وَلا تَيأَسا أَن تُرزَقا أَرحَبِيَّةً

كَعَينِ المَها أَعناقُهُنَّ طِوالُ

Do not despair of being granted a spacious livelihood

And do not despair that you be granted a swift Arhabi mount,

Like the eyes of ostriches, their necks are long

With eyes like the oryx, and necks graceful and long.

مِنَ الحارِثِيينَ الَّذينَ دِماؤُهُم

حَرامٌ وَأَمّا مالُهُم فَحَلالُ

From the Harithis whose blood

From the Harithites, those men whose blood

Is unlawful, but their wealth is lawful

Is forbidden to shed, yet whose wealth is lawful to take.
