1. ثِقْ بالذي صيرَ دونَ الورى

    في راحتيْك البسْطَ والقَبضَا

    Trust in Him who has power over all creation

    In your hands lies expansion and constraint

  2. ما أحكموا من كيدهم عقدةً

    إلا وأحكمتَ لَها نَقْضَا

    However tight their plots,

    You make the knot's undoing

  3. كم عرّض الكلبُ على قُبْحهِ

    بالنَّبحِ لِلْبدرِ وما عَضَا

    How oft the cur exposes his ugliness

    By barking at the full moon, but bites it not

  4. زيّن إبليس لهم ما أتوا

    فاعتقدوا طاعتُه فَرضَا

    Iblis made their sins seem fair to them

    So they thought obeying him a duty

  5. راموا بحكمِ الجهْل أن يَجْحدوا

    مِن فضلِكم ما طبّق الأَرضا

    In their ignorance they sought to deny

    The bounty you spread over the land

  6. وما دَروا أنّ ديونَ العُلى

    بسُمْرِ أرماحك تُسْتقضىَ

    Unaware that the debts owed to the Exalted

    Are extracted at the point of your spears

  7. وأن أَسيافك من غَيظِها

    ما طَعمتْ أجفانها غَمْضَا

    And that your swords in their wrath

    Have never tasted the balm of sleep

  8. وأنّ آراءَك إن أَعْمِلَتْ

    في حادثٍ كالسيّف أو أمضَى

    And that your judgments, when executed

    Cut like a sword or strike as lightning

  9. فَرّوا مِن الْخَوفِ فما قصّرتْ

    خيلكَ في أَدبارها ركْضا

    They fled in fear, your cavalry behind them

    Not halting in their flight for a moment

  10. كانوا مِنَ الحيرةِ في ظلمةٍ

    يَلعنُ فيها بعضُهمْ بَعْضا

    Bewildered in darkness, they cursed

    Each other without restraint

  11. حتى اسْتَبانوا بكَ نهجَ الهدى

    واستوضحوا السنةَ والفَرْضا

    Until through you the path of truth was clear

    And the Law and Obligation distinct

  12. وقَد غَدا غَايةُ مَطْلوبهمْ

    أن تغفرَ الذنبَ وأنْ ترضى

    And seeking your forgiveness and pleasure

    Became the sum of their hopes

  13. فاصفح بحلمٍ عنهمُ مُغضياً

    فالصَّفحُ من دَأبك والإغضا

    So turn from them in clemency, forgiving

    For forbearance is your rule and way

  14. وخلّهم في الأرض أَسْرى فَقَدْ

    ملكتَ مِنها الطّول والعَرضا

    Leave them as captives on earth, for its

    Length and breadth are held in your reign
