مُذ تَراءى الإِحماض في الغيث قومٌ

أوسعُوه لذاك لَعناً وسبّا

Since acidity appeared in the rain, a people

Cursed and insulted it for that reason

قُلتُ هذا مِصداق ما ذكروه

إنّ لِلْغيث باغِضاً ومحبّا

I said this is the fulfillment of what they mentioned

That rain certainly has those who hate and love it
