عادتْ عليكَ بما ترجو وتأمله

عوائد البرّ والإِحسانِ والكرمِ

The rewards of kindness, benevolence and generosity

Have returned to you as you hoped and wished

ولا برحتَ سعيد الجدّ مغتبطاً

تختالُ في حُللِ الإِقبال والنِّعَم

And you have not ceased being delighted and joyful

Reveling in the robes of prosperity and bounty

يَرْوونَ عَنكَ مِن المجد المؤثّل يا

فَتَى المكَارِمِ ما يَروونَ عَن هَرِمِ

They quench their thirst with the abundant glory, O

Youth of virtues, that which they quench from the aged
