1. كَمْ ذَا يذوبُ أسىً وكَمْ يتجلَّدُ

    أينَ المعينُ لَهُ وأينَ المسْعِدُ

    How much grief melts away, and how much endures

    Where is the helper for him, and where is the one who brings joy?

  2. أَأُهَيْلَ وادِي المنْحَنَي وحياتِكُمْ

    إنّي على ما تَعْهَدونَ وأعْهَدُ

    Shall I spend my days in the winding valley, while you are alive?

    I keep the pledges I made to you, and make new ones

  3. لا تُنكِروا كَلَفي بكمْ وصَبَابتي

    هذا الضَّنَى ودموعُ عَيني تشهَدُ

    Do not blame me for my ardour towards you, my youthfulness

    This sadness, and the tears of my eyes bear witness

  4. ما خَانَ قَلْبي عَهْدَكم أبداً ولا

    مُدّتْ لِسلْواني إلى صَبْرِي يَدُ

    My heart has never betrayed its pledge to you, nor

    Have my arms ever extended to my patience

  5. أأخُوتُكُمْ وأودُّ قوماً غيرَكُمْ

    أنَّي وعَهْدكُم لديَّ مُؤكَّدْ

    Am I your brother, yet love a people other than you?

    I and your pledge to me are affirmed

  6. يا هاجرينّ وليسَ لي ذَنبُ سِوى

    دَمْعٍ يفيضُ ولَوْعَة تتجدَّدْ

    O emigrants! I have no fault except

    Overflowing tears and anguish that renews

  7. ومُحمَلي الصبّ الكئيب صَبَابةٌ

    بينَ الجوانح حَرُّها لاَ يَبْرَدُ

    And my heavy load - the agonizing youthfulness

    Whose burning in my heart does not diminish

  8. أَكذا يكونُ جزاءُ مَن حفظ الهوى

    ورعَى عهودكَمُ يُهَانُ ويُبْعَدْ

    Is this the reward of one who preserved passion

    And kept your pledges, to be disgraced and banished?

  9. وبمُهْجتي الرشأ الّذي مِنْ خدِّه

    في كلِّ قَلْبٍ جمرةُ تَتَوقَّدْ

    And my cheek, from which

    A burning ember lights up in every heart

  10. الطّرفُ مِنْهُ مُهَنَّدٌ والخدّ مِنْهُ

    مُورّدٌ والجِيدُ منهُ مُقلَّدُ

    My eyelid is sleepless from it, my cheek

    Reddened by it, my forehead adorned

  11. يُمسي ويُصبِحُ آمِناً في سِرْبِهِ

    وأخافُ وهو القاتِلُ المتعَمَّدُ

    He spends the night and wakes safely among his flock

    While I fear, for he is the deliberate killer

  12. يُسْبِي القلوبَ بِمقْلَةٍ سَحّارةٍ

    هاروتُ فِتْنَتِها يحلّ ويعقدُ

    He captivates hearts with a sorcerous glance

    Harut of his sedition ties and unties

  13. وبقامةٍ ألفّيةٍ فتّانة

    من فوق أَرْدَافٍ تُقيمُ وتُقعِدُ

    With a tall, alluring figure

    Raised above wide hips that straighten and bend

  14. سكِرتْ معاطفُهُ بكاسِ رُضابهِ

    فَلَها اعْتِدالٌ تارةً وتأوّدُ

    His robes intoxicated by his pleasure cup

    Thus possessing harmony at times, and gentleness

  15. فكأن ذِكرى أحمدٍ خطرت لَها

    ولِذكِرهِ يَنْدَى الجمادُ الجلْمَدُ

    As if the memory of Ahmad appeared to them

    And at his mention, the frozen inanimate melts

  16. يا مالكِ الملكِ العقيمِ ومن لَهُ

    في كلّ أرضٍ أنْعُمٌ لا تُجحَدُ

    O King of barren kingship, he who has

    In every land, blessings that cannot be denied

  17. مَهلاً فما فوقَ السّماكِ لِطالِبٍ

    قصدٌ ولا فوق الثريَّا مقعَدُ

    Stop! What is above the sky is for the seeker

    No destination, nor above the stars, a seat

  18. أنفَقْتَ مالكَ في النَّدى مُسْتَخْلِفاً

    ربّاً خزائنُ فَضْلِهِ لا تَنْفدُ

    You spent your wealth creating the dew, making yourself

    A Lord whose treasures of grace never deplete

  19. تالله ما تركَتْ لِقاكَ معاشِرٌ

    إلاّ وفضلكَ فيهمُ يَتَردّدُ

    By Allah, none remained but that your grace in them

    Echoes and reiterates

  20. أو يمَّمَ الطلاّبُ يَمَّ مكارمٍ

    إلاّ وأنت مُنَاهمُ والمقصدُ

    Or the students strive for glorious character

    Except that you are their attainment and destination

  21. عِلماً وحِلْماً باهراً وسَماحة

    فَلْيَهْتَدوا وَلْيَقْتدوا وليجتدوا

    Knowledge and wisdom shine, and generosity

    So let them be guided, follow example, and excel

  22. سَجَعُوا بِذكْرِكَ في البلادِ وإنّما

    طوّقْتَهُمْ بالمكْرماتِ فغَرَّدوا

    They gained felicity by your mention in the lands

    You adorned them with favors, so they sing joyfully

  23. وتَعَلّموا مِنكَ المديحَ فمِنكَ ما

    تُعْطيهُم كرماً وأنتَ المُنْشِدُ

    And they learned praise from you, so from you comes

    Generosity, while you are the leading composer

  24. ما سوحُكَ المحروسُ إلاّ جَنّةٌ

    لو أنّ مَنْ يأتي إلَيْه يُخَلّدُ

    Your guarded domain is nothing but a paradise

    Where if one entered, he would gain eternity

  25. ما زالَ سيفُكَ مندُ كان مجرّداً

    في غير أفئدةِ العِدى لا يُغْمَدُ

    Your sword remains bared, never sheathed

    Except in the hearts of enemies, on a day of battle

  26. ماذا أقول وكلُّ قولٍ قاصِرٌ

    والفضلُ أكثرُ فيك منه وأزيدُ

    What shall I say, when all words fall short

    And your excellence upon me is greater and more

  27. الدَّهرُ من خَطّار رُمحِكَ خائفٌ

    والموتُ من بَتَّارِ سَيفكَ يرْعدُ

    Fate is fearful of the blows of your spear

    And death shudders from your piercing sword

  28. كَمْ موقفٍ يُوهي الجليدَ وقفتَهُ

    لِلْموت فيهِ توعّدُ

    How many formidable stands you took

    Where death, for it, was a threat

  29. ما زال عنكَ النّصرُ فيه كأنَّما

    في الكفِّ منك زِمامُهُ

    Your victory in it is as if

    In your grip, is its reins

  30. حتّى تَردَّدَ من آراك

    أأَنْتَ لِلْفَتْحِ المبينِ أم السّيوف

    Until it was said, who is this? Is it

    The clear conquest, or the swords, or the thrusting spears

  31. وهْي الرّماحُ الزاعبيّة أم

    هي الأقْدَار تَرْمي من أردْتَ

    Or is it fate casting toward whom you desire?

    Is it good fortune, when you head into battle

  32. وهيَ السَّعادةُ إذ قَصَدْتَ إلى الوغَى

    حَمَلَتْكَ أَمْ سَامي المقلّ

    Bearing you aloft, or the towering determination

    Or is it the armies, or the deaths you lead

  33. وهْيَ الجيوشُ أمِ المنايا قُدْتَها

    لِلْحَرْب أم بحرّ خِضم

    To war, or a tumultuous sea?

    Far from it! No human can accomplish what you achieve

  34. هَيْهات لا يقْوي لما تأتي به

    بشرّ ولكنَ الملائكَ

    But angels

    O best of those who rode steeds, and who

  35. يا خيرَ من ركبَ الجيادَ ومَنْ لَهُ

    في الكَونِ ألويةُ الْولاية

    Rules the banners of governance in the universe

    You vanquished every impregnable fortress in the lands

  36. ذلَّلْتَ في الأَرضين كلَّ مُمَنّع

    فجميعُ أملاكِ الورى

    Thus all the kingdoms of the earth

    None remains but Mecca - so rise to it

  37. لَمْ يَبْقَ إلاّ مَكَّةُ فانهضْ لَهَا

    فاللهُ جلّ بنَصرِه لك

    For God, Majestic, will grant you victory in it

    Unveil for it your swords of resolve - it is

  38. جَرِّدْ لها أَسياف عَزْمِك إنّها

    لِطلوعِ نَجْمكَ بالسَّعادة

    The rise of your star with good fortune

    And fate is obedient toward your desires

  39. والدَّهرُ فيما تَبْتغيهِ طائِعٌ

    والسّعدُ فيما تَنْتَحيه

    Good luck accompanies what you undertake

    What would prevent you from it, o people who have no

  40. أيصدّكمْ عَنْها أُناسٌ ما لَهُمْ

    قَدمٌ إلى العَلْيا تَسيرُ

    Footing to ascend high?

    While you, below all mankind, are most rightful to it

  41. وَلأَنْتمُ دونَ الورى أولَى بِها

    فَبها مقَرُّ بأبيكمُ

    For the Sacred House of your father is in it

    Purify its terrain from the tyrannical Turks

  42. طَهِّرْ مِنَ التُركِ الطَّغام بقاعَها

    فَلَطَالَ مَا عاثوا هُناك

    For too long they have wreaked havoc there

    Enemies of God returning to defeat

  43. عوَدْ عداةُ اللهِ من إهْلاكِهِمْ

    ما كانَ عوّدهم أبوك

    As your father never allowed their habitation

    Unveil your sword, for in its sheath, it holds

  44. جرَدْ حُسَامكَ إنَّه في غمدِهِ

    لِلْغيظِ منهمْ جَمْرَةُ

    Embers of fury toward them when it sees Mecca

    And unleash upon them the piercing swords and spears

  45. جرَدْ حُسَامكَ إنَّه في غمدِهِ

    لِلْغيظِ منهمْ إذا رآها

    A war that terrifies when seen

    And command time against them, for your sword

  46. وأَدِرْ عَليهمْ بالصَّوارم والقَنا

    حرباً يشيبُ إذا رآها

    Scatters their unity in every land they fled or sought refuge

    Where can they escape with your sword behind them?

  47. ومُرِ الزَّمانَ بهم فإنَّ لِصَرفِه

    سَيفاً يُشتِّتُ شَمْلَهُمْ

    If they disgracefully brandished their swords against you

    They will soon be sheathed in their skulls

  48. أينَ المفرّ لَهُمْ وسيفُكَ خَلْفَهُمْ

    في كلّ أرضٍ أرغوروا أو أَنجدوا

    Or if they ignited the fires of their spears, these will

    Be extinguished by their blood, in no time

  49. إن أشْهَروا جهلاً عليك سيوفَهمْ

    فَلَسَوْفَ في الهامات مِنهم تُغْمَدُ

    What fires could they ignite with their schemes

    While your Lord extinguishes what they ignited?

  50. أو أَشْرعوا سُمْرَ الرِّماح فإنّها

    لا بُدّ في لَبَّاتِهمْ تتفصَّدُ

    Do not worry about their actions, for the ordained fate

    Upon them may suffice you

  51. أَوْ أوقَدوا نَارَ الحروبِ فإنّها

    بدمائِهم عمَّا قريبٍ تَخْمَدُ

    What they do, while God's hand is upon them

    Is like the blow of a sword no arm can withstand

  52. ماذا عَسَى أنْ يُوقدوا مِنْ كَيدِهم

    ناراً ورُبكَ مُطْفئٌ ما أوقَدوا

    They are predatory dogs, who tasted the sweetness

    Of your forbearance, so became emboldened

  53. لا تبتإسْ بِفِعَالهِمْ فَلَرُبَّما

    يكفيكَ شأنَهمُ القضاء المرْصَدُ

    May God favor you and disgrace their multitude

    God debases whom He wills, and graces whom He wills

  54. ما فِعلُهم ويدُ الإله عَليهمُ

    ما فِعلُ سيفٍ لَيسَ تحمِلُه يَدُ

    And God wanted from you - may His Majesty be Exalted -

    Continuous victory for this religion, as you are accustomed

  55. وهُمُ الكِلابُ العاويات وإنّما

    ذاقوا حلاوةَ حِلمكمْ فاسْتَأسَدوا

    Soon your swords will ignite sparks in them

    Melting the frozen with the hottest fires

  56. اللهُ أسعدكم وأشقى جَمعَهُمْ

    واللهُ يُشْقِي من يشاء ويُسْعِدُ

    It will be said: a people killed among them, a people

    Taken captive, and a people scattered

  57. وأراد منك الله جلَّ جَلالُهُ

    من نَصرِ هذا الدينِ ما تتعَوّدُ

    And to you, O King of the land, praise

    That almost made the shining sun bow down

  58. ولَسوفَ تَقدحُ فيهمُ أسيافُكُمْ

    شرراً لأيْسَرِه يذوبُ الجلمدُ

    From one sincere in love for the Family of Muhammed

    Whose passion lasts as your mention echoes in the land

  59. ويُقالُ قومٌ قُتِّلوا مِنهمْ وقومٌ

    أوثِقوا أسراً وقومٌ شُرِّدوا

    And the Family - as long as the Najdi winds blow -

    Are fervently devoted to your mention

  60. وإليكَها ملكَ البريّة مدحةً

    كادتْ لها الشَّمسُ المنيرةُ تسجدُ

    He complains to you of poverty he endured

    That weighed down his heart with sorrows that reside and settle

  61. مِن صادقٍ في ودّ آل محمّدٍ

    يفنَى الزّمانُ وودّه يتجّدَّدُ

    A poverty that pitched its tents over his dependents

    And in its midst, I said to his sword "what is born?"

  62. نظماً تودُّ الغانيات لَو أنّها

    يوماً بدرّ عقودِه تتقَلْدُ

    Send upon it from your bounty, a raid

    That would disperse its army and shatter it

  63. يشكوك فَقْراً قد تحمَّلَ قلبُهُ

    من أَجْلِهِ كُرَباً تقيمُ وتُقْعِدُ

    And pour upon me seas of your generous boons

    Until the envious dies of his envy

  64. فَقراً أناخَ على العيَالِ بكلْكَلٍ

    وسَطا فقلتُ لِسَيْفِهِ مَا يُولَدُ

    You remain hoped for in every glorious matter

    Building the edifices of supremacy and height

  65. أرسل عليه مِن نوالِكَ غارةٌ

    شَعْوا تُفرقُ جيشَه وتُبدِّدُ

    And you - may Allah's prayers be upon you after Muhammad

    As long as your mention in the land is recited

  66. وأفضْ عَليَّ بحار جُود منعماً

    حتّى يموتَ بغَيظِهُ مَن يحسُدُ

    And the Family - as long as the Najdi winds blow

    Passionately devoted to your memory

  67. لا زِلتَ مَرجوّاً لكلّ عظيمةٍ

    تَبْني مَعالمَ لِلعُلَى وتشيّدُ

    This gift, so stop O camel-driver

    For it I lost my senses and sleep

  68. وعليكَ صلّى الله بَعد مُحمدٍ

    ما دامَ ذكركَ في البريّة يُنْشَدُ

    And withhold your camels, singing

    Why should tears flow like a valley's torrent?

  69. والآل ما هبّتْ صَباً نجديّةٌ

    وشدا بذكركَ مُغْورٌ أو مُنْجِدُ

    And recount to the love-struck, tales of past passion

    Who became intimacy's companion and confidante

  70. هَذَا العَقِيقُ فقِفْ بِنا يا حادِي

    فبِهِ سُلِبْتُ حُشَاشتي ورُقادِي

    Beware of the valley of trouble, and beware

    The foothills, abode of lions

  71. واحْبِسْ بكاظمةٍ قلوصَكَ مُنْشداً

    ما لِلدّموع تسيلُ سَيْلَ الوادي

    And I ransom the Babylonian charmer

    Whose beauty's departure clad all in mourning

  72. وأعِدْ أَحاديثَ الغُويْرِ لِمُغْرَمٍ

    أضْحَى حليفَ صَبابةٍ وسهادِ

    A gazelle from the Turks, its posture a branch

    That mocks the posture of the swaying bamboo

  73. وحذارَ مِنْ وادي النَّقا والسَّفحِ مِنْ

    أضم فَثمَّ مصَارعُ الآسادِ

    When I parted from him, I parted with my heart

    As if they had an appointment to meet

  74. وأنا الفِداء لِبابليّ لَواحِظِ

    يَسطو بِبيْضٍ مِنْ رثاهُ حِدادِ

    How much torment for his love have I endured

    That I embedded fiery coals in every inanimate thing

  75. ظَبْيٌ مِنْ الأتراك غُصْنُ قوامِهِ

    يُزْري بغصْنِ البَانةِ الميّادِ

    I have suffered from his estrangement and distance

    And the aroma of blame within it, going and returning

  76. فارقتُ قَلْبي عندما فَارقتُهُ

    فكأنّما كانَا على مِيعادٍ

    O my reproacher! Cease blaming, I know

    My wrong in passion, and my right guidance

  77. كم ذا أكابِدُ من هواهُ على النّوى

    حُرقاً ثُفّيتُ قلبَ كل جمادٍ

    Leave me be, and let me have my way

    Or be my aid, the mount is worthier of aid

  78. رشأٌ بُليتُ بهجْرِهِ وبِعَادِه

    وبِرَائح بالعَذْلِ فيهِ وغادِي

    The vicissitudes of fate that oppress my side

    And come between me and my desire suffice me

  79. يا عاذلي خلِّ الملامةَ إنّني

    أدْري بِغَيَي في الهوَى ورشادي

    How I complain of the injustice of time, but see

    No one to support me against time's oppression

  80. دَعْني وشأني أو فكُنْ لي مُسْعداً

    إنّ الكثيبَ أحقُ بالإسْعادِ

    Until fortune called me: do not yield, and be

    Under the protection of the loyal, and call upon the beloved of the beloved

  81. حَسْبي صروفُ الدَّهْرِ تهضِمُ جانبي

    وتحولُ ما بَيْني وبينَ مُرادي

    The exemplary master, the distinguished chosen one

    Sanctuary of the spurned, and the pilgrims' Kaaba

  82. كَمْ أَشْتكي جَوْرَ الزَّمانِ ولا أرى

    لي مَنْ يعينُ على الزَّمانِ العادي

    The King, Sword of the Faith, superior to

    Every sword unsheathed against the enemies on a day of carnage

  83. حتَّى دَعَاني السّعدُ لا تَخْضَعُ ولذْ

    بِحِمَى الصِّفيّ ونادِ زَيَن النّادي

    A lion whose opponents, when war approaches

    Are terrified whites and scattering sparks

  84. السيّد العَلم الهمام المنتَقَى

    حرم الطّريد وكعبة الْوفَّادِ

    A generosity that makes the sea wish to recount it

    With might that melts the whites in the scabbards

  85. الملك سَيف الدّينِ أَفضَل من نَضَا

    سَيفاً على الأعداء يومَ جلادِ

    A King who raised the banners of pride with an ambition

    That lifted him above the celestial sphere

  86. لَيْثُ مخالِيُهُ إذا حَضر الوَغَى

    بيضٌ مهنّدَةٌ وسُمرُ صِعادِ

    He surpassed the deeds of past predecessors

    In every matter, long of repute and glory

  87. كرمُ يودُ البحرُ لو يَحْكيهِ مَعْ

    بأسٍ يُذيبُ البيضَ في الأغمادِ

    And they inherited the legacy of glory from their fathers

    And the inheritance of fathers belongs to the children

  88. ملكٌ علا رُتبَ الفِخار بهمّةٍ

    رفعتْهُ فوقَ الكَوْكَبِ الوقّادِ

    And they attained the most noble seat of glory

    And ascended, above the constellation Al-Jawza, the highest summit

  89. وَقَفَا مآثِرَ سالفينَ تقدّموا

    من كلّ ذي شمَمٍ طويل نجادِ

    Informing of long hopes, and inheriting

    Ancient glory, and shelter of archers

  90. وتقدَّم الأمْلاكُ طرّاُ في النّدى

    سبْقاً وهل سبقٌ لِغَيرِ جَواد

    Unveiling swords that do not sheathe

    In anything but skulls and inner organs

  91. لَو كانَ في الزَّمَنِ القديم تشرّفَتْ

    بِشريفِ خِدمتِهِ بنو عبّاد

    You possess, in resolve, independence from wealthy swords

    So leave the swords resting in their sheaths

  92. للهِ كم مِننٍ أفاضَ على الوْرى

    غَرّاء كالأطواقِ في الأجيادِ

    Of what use is my deficient praise, saying

    Your merits are endless seas and summits?

  93. لَو قصَّر العافونَ عن طَلب النّدى

    لأقَامَ فيهمْ للنّوال مُنادي

    Your mention remained my companion wherever

    I ascended in the ruins and valley

  94. يَسْتقبل الجُلى ببيْضِ صَوَارمٍ

    كفلَتْ له بغناء كلِّ معادي

    So boast over a people who passed away, having nothing

    In pride but precedence in birth

  95. وبَسَالةٍ أغنتْهُ عَن حَمْلِ القنا

    تُوهي القُوى وتفتّ في الأعضادِ

    And listen to the lament of a sincere lover

    And captive of poverty, having no redeemer

  96. فلْتَفتخِرْ منه العُلَى بأغرّ رحْب

    الكفِّ رحْب الصدرِ رحب النّادي

    A servant fate stepped over

    And the days oppressed, returning to afflict me

  97. بغضنْفَرٍ شرِسٍ لَهُ من نصرِهِ

    عينٌ على الأعداء بالمرْصادِ

    Staying with you was not out of boredom or dislike

    Does the heart weary of sweet water, O hunter?

  98. يقظان في طلب العُلَى لم تكتَحِلْ

    من غير سُوءٍ عينُه برُقادِ

    Rather, my longing to pursue knowledge and attain it

    Prolonged, as did my study

  99. تالله ما عمرٌو أخا بأسٍ ولا

    كعب بن مَامة عنده بجوادِ

    Would my time be pleasant when I do not

    Spur in the pure arena of knowledge my steed?

  100. من معشرٍ سبقوا الملوك إلى العُلى

    سَبْقَ الجياد الضّمْر يوم طِرادِ

    My Master, I came to your door as a visitor

    And the generous rewards the devoted visitor

  101. وحَوَوا تراثَ المجدِ عن آبائهم

    ووراثة الآباء للأولاد

    I rode from my resolve toward you, a doctrine

    And made your remembrance, in desolation, my provision

  102. وتبوأوا في المجدِ أشرفَ مَقعَدٍ

    ورقوا مِن الجوزاء فوقَ مهادِ

    I left the kingdoms of the land from a hand

    That made you my destination and desire

  103. أَمُبلّغَ الأَملِ الطَّويل ووارثَ

    المجدِ الأَثيل وملجأَ القُصَّادِ

    And I folded toward you every obscure darkness

    From the heat of hearts and evident harm

  104. أَمُجَرِّدَ الأسيافِ لم يُغْمَدْنَ في

    شيءٍ سِوى الهاماتِ والأكبادِ

    I came to your noble presence when

    Fate turned against me and distanced me

  105. لكَ في العزائم عن سيوفِ غنيةٌ

    فذرِ السيوف تقرّ في الأغمادِ

    I reached it while ill fate weakened my hand

    But good fortune strengthened my limbs

  106. ماذا عَسى مَدْحي المقْصَّرُ قَائلٌ

    وثناكَ بينَ غوائرٍ ونجادِ

    I found solace from my family and homeland in it

    For wherever you were in the lands, there was my homeland

  107. ما زالَ ذِكْركَ حيثُ كنتُ مُصَاحبي

    في كُلّ رابيةٍ عَلَوْتُ وَوَادي

    And the turns of fate gained security from me when

    Your armies rose to aid me

  108. فافخَر على قومٍ مَضَوا ما إنْ لَهم

    في الفخرِ غير تقدّم الميلادِ

    You granted me success, and how many boons in it

    Adorning the necks of all creation, and hands

  109. واسمعْ شكيةَ ذي وَدادٍ صادقٍ

    وأسيرِ فقرٍ ما لَهُ مِن فادي

    Thank you Abu Hassan for your bounties which

    My loyal friend envied and grudged

  110. عبد تخطّى نحوهُ صَرْفُ القَضَا

    وَعَدَتْ عليهِ من الزّمانِ عوادي

    Ways of grace from you never deviated

    From the ways of fathers and forefathers

  111. طالَ البقاء وقد وَعَدْتَ ولم تَزلْ

    مُعْطي الأماني صادقَ الميعادِ

    And the beauty of your view of me, O you whose

    Opinions are always coupled with wisdom

  112. فَانْظُرْ إلى حالي وعَجَلْ أوبَتي

    فَضْلاً وفكّ مِن الخُطوبِ قيادي

    And an unmarried maiden enamored with a handsome youth

    So Al-Walid lusted, and Ziyad's deficiency was evident

  113. أرسِلْ على أرضِ افْتقاري غَارةً

    بسحائب المعروفِ والإمدادِ

    And may your Lord's peace be upon you always

    And His prayers upon the guiding Prophet

  114. واللّبْثُ عندَكَ لم يَطلْ لِمَلاَلةٍ

    أيَملّ عَذْبَ الماءِ قلبُ الصَّادي

  115. لكِنْ إلى طَلبِ العُلومِ وكَسْبِها

    طالَ اشتياقي واسْتَطَالَ سُهادِي

  116. أَيَطيبُ ليْ زَمني ولم أُجْرِي بهِ

    في حَلْبةِ العِلم الشّريفِ جوادي

  117. مولاي قد وافيتُ بابَكَ وافِداً

    وعلَى الكَريم كَرَامةُ الوفّادِ

  118. ورَكبتُ مِنْ عَزْمي إليكَ مَطيِّةً

    وجعلتُ ذكركَ في المفاوزِ زادي

  119. وتركتُ أَملاكَ البريّةِ عن يدٍ

    إذا كنتَ قِبْلة مَقْصَدِي ومُرادي

  120. وطويتُ نحوكَ كُلَّ أَغْبر قَاتِم

    عن حَرِّ أَكبادٍ وضرٍّ بادي

  121. وقَصَدْتُ حَضْرتَكَ الشّريفة عندما

    جَار الزّمان ولجَّ في إبْعادي

  122. وافيتُها والنَّحسُ موهنُ ساعدي

    فحلَلْتُها والسَّعْدُ من أعضادي

  123. وسلوتُ عن أهلي وأوطاني بها

    إذ حيثُ كُنْتَ من البلادِ بلادي

  124. وَاسْتَأْمَنَتْ منّي صروفُ الدَّهْرِ إذْ

    نَهَضَتْ جيوشَ نَداكَ في إِنجادي

  125. وأَنَلْتَني الحُسْنَى وكم مِنَنٍ بها

    قَلّدتَ أعناقَ الورى وأيادي

  126. شكراً أَبا حَسَنٍ لِنُعماكَ التي

    عَادَ الصَّديقُ بهنَّ مِن حُسَّادي

  127. عاداتُ فَضْلٍ منكَ لم تَخرجْ بها

    عن عادةِ الآباء والأجدادِ

  128. وجميلُ رأيك فيَّ يا مَن لم تزلْ

    أراؤه مقرونةً برشادِ

  129. واسْتَجْلِهَا عذراء شابَ لِحُسْنِها

    فَودُ الوَلِيدِ وبانَ نقصُ زِيادِ

  130. واسْلم عليكَ سلامُ ربِّكَ دائماً

    وصلاته بعدَ النَبيّ الهادي
