لا والذي سواك ما اريد سلواك

ما أخبر به نفسٍ تمنت قدرها

No, by Him who created you, I do not want anyone but you

A soul that wished for its fate has not told me

وكان التفرق يا ادعج العين عناك

أنا الذي روحي عذابه صهرها

And parting, O most beautiful of eyes, from you

I am the one whose soul its torment has melted

والله لو ما اعي .. نفسي برجواك

واجزم وَكاد إنه يهمك خبرها

By Allah, if I do not... my soul longs for you

And I assert, it concerns you to know

لأطفي شعاع العمر .. لا غيّب ضياك

عميت عيونٍ ما يطولك نظرها

I would extinguish the light of life - do not disappear from me

Eyes have been blinded that cannot see you

أغلي حياتي .. من ثواني بها ألقاك

لولاك ما تسوى حياتي كدرها

My life is more precious in the moments I meet you

Without you, my life is not worth its sorrows

ودنيا خلت من صافي الود وياك

يا عل تكسف شمسها مع قمرها

And a world devoid of the sincerity of love with you

O summit! Its sun would be shy of its moon
