وَإِنّي لَأُعطي الحَقَّ مَن لَو ظَلَمتُهُ

أَقَرَّ وَأَعطاني الَّذي أَنا طالِبُ

And I give rights to one I've wronged

Who then admits it and gives me what I seek.

وَآخُذُ حَقّي مِن رِجالٍ أَعِزَّةٍ

وَإِن كَرُمَت أَعراقُهُم وَالمَناسِبُ

And I take my rights from honored men

Though their descent and status I respect.
