1. مَبَاسِمَ الثَغرِ ما أحلى حُمياكِ

    وطلعةَ البَدرِ ما أبهى محياكِ

    The smiles of your lips, how sweet is their bashfulness

    And the rising of the moon, how radiant is your cheek

  2. وأعينَ العينِ من للعينِ إن نظرت

    بلحظِكِ الفاتِرِ الأجفانِ والشاكي

    The eyes of the beholder, if they looked

    At your languid, sleepy eyelids and the complaining one

  3. يا جنةَ الخُلدِ في الدنيا وسَلسَلَها

    رُضابُك العَذبُ في مجرى ثناياكِ

    O paradise of eternity in this life and its chain

    Your gentle acceptance in the course of your folds

  4. ويا مهاةً إذا مرّ النسيمُ على

    نَبتِ الخُزامى حَسِبنا النَشرَ رَيّاكِ

    O a doe, when the breeze blows over

    The buds of chamomile, we deemed the scattering of your scent

  5. آليتُ لا يأتلى سهماك يعتورا ال

    فأصبح الناسُ كل الناس قتلاكِ

    I have readied arrows that cannot miss their mark unless

    The people, all people, have fallen your victims

  6. بالله يا ربةَ الملكِ الذي خضعت

    كل الملوك له من دونِ علياكِ

    By Allah, O lady of the kingdom who subdued

    All the kings to Him without your highness

  7. يحكى أبوك ابن هندٍ في مكانته

    وأنت بلقيس ثم الفضلُ للحاكي

    Your father, son of Hind, tells of his stature

    While you are Balqis, then the merit to the narrator

  8. ماذا أردت بهجري ثم لم تدعى

    حتى أخذت فؤادي ضمن أسراكِ

    What did you want with estranging me, yet you did not call

    Until you took my heart among your captives

  9. رحماكِ رُدّى فؤادي وابتغى عوضاً

    من رحمةِ اللَه يومَ الحشر رُحماكِ

    Have mercy, give me back my heart, and seek compensation

    From God’s mercy on the Day of Resurrection, have mercy

  10. ونوليني وراعى ذمتي وعدى

    وأنجزى وصلى محتاجَ جدواكِ

    And return me to favor, uphold my pact and justice

    And fulfill, pray to the needy your munificence

  11. لما رأيتُ إباءً في انقيادك لي

    وليس يُدنيك منى غير رُقباكَ

    When I saw refusal in your obedience to me

    And nothing brings you closer to me but my nape

  12. مارستُ حُبَّك حتى حال عزُّك لي

    ذُلاً وحتى دعى المشكوّ بالشاكي

    I practiced loving you until your pride to me

    Became submissive, and the complainer called the complainer

  13. قد نلتُ وصلك في يوم به اجتمعت

    اعيادُ سعد أقيمت حول مغناكِ

    I attained your company on a day in which convened

    The festivals of Saad erected around your singing

  14. سنا مُحياكِ والعيدُ السعيدُ وبد

    ر العمدةِ المُجتلى في أوج أفلاكِ

    A year that gives life, and the blessed Eid, and the full

    Moon of the eminent pole in the peak of its orbit

  15. جريدةٌ صَدَعَت بالحقِّ فانتصر ال

    مظلوم وارتدّ عنها كل أفَّاك

    A newspaper that clamored with the truth so the

    Oppressed won and every deceiver recoiled from it

  16. يا ديمةً كنتُ أرجو دَرَّها زَمناً

    حتى استجبت أماني من تمناك

    O Deyma you were my hope for a time

    Until my wishes responded to the one who wished you

  17. غالي بقدرك أيٌ فيكِ بينةٌ

    فما أعزكِ مِقداراً وأغلاكِ

    As precious as you are, is there clarity in you?

    For your worth is immeasurable and priceless

  18. لما اجتليتُ لآليكِ التي انتظمت

    في سلكها المنتقى من حسن مبناكِ

    When I contemplated your verses knitted

    In their refined string with the beauty of their architecture

  19. تختالُ في حُلَل التبيانِ رافلةً

    حمدتُ من ببيانِ الفكر أنشاكِ

    You strut in the garments of rhetoric, copious

    I praised the one whose natural eloquence composed you

  20. رب العلا حسنَ الطبع المُشرَّفِ حِل

    مى الخلائقِ عن لبٍّ له زاكي

    Lord of the High, of excellent natural disposition that donned

    The creation with an understanding heart and a reasoning mind

  21. جدى السرى في ميادين العلا صُعداً

    ستدركين مداها أي إدراكِ

    My grandfather the secret in the arenas of supremacy climbed ladders

    That any comprehension will fall short of reaching their extent

  22. لازلت شمسَ ضياءِ الفضلِ تسطعُ في

    أرجاءِ مصرَ فتهدى الناس أضواك

    You remain the sun of the light of virtue shining in

    The horizons of Egypt thus guiding the people, your lights

  23. وحيدَ عن كلِّ صَوتٍ غيرَ صوتك واخ

    تيرَ القِلى عن أماني النفس حاشاكِ

    Secluded from every voice other than yours, and chose

    The hearts over the soul's wishes, none but you

  24. ولا تفرستِ إلا كنتِ صائبةً

    خبيئةَ الغيبِ في تَصريفِ آراكِ

    And did not foresee except you were correct

    The unseen in the course of your judgments

  25. أسمى الدرارى دَراريك التي ارتفعت

    قدراً وأسنَى المغاني الغرِّ مَغناك

    The highest of maidens are your maidens that rose

    In worth and the most melodious songs are your singing

  26. في ظلِّ عبّاسِنا الميمونِ طالعهُ

    من بالتفاتِ عيونِ الملك يَرعاك

    In the shadow of our auspicious Abbas, his ascent

    From the glance of the king's eyes that pasture you
