I planted his love in a triangular field
And watered it with eternal covenant
I fenced it with attachment, striving tirelessly
So the fencer would protect it from harm
When the plants grew lush and green
And the love of love bore fruit in stalks of affection
The palms of separation came to it, sickles in hand
And hastily reaped when ripe for harvest
Oh what misfortune that my efforts were in vain
Oh what agony that my liver is now its fodder
