The pearls of love scattered when separation's needle pricked me,
My heart stumbles in the folds of its pants from the tightness of grief,
You have wronged me, O the tall cypress tree of vows,
My eyes are connected to you, their buttons fastened,
With the thread of tears upon my cheek,
O opener of my heart's chest, O its closer,
Remembrance has hurt me with the promise,
The scissors of separation have cut off what it used to promise of union,
O breath of my soul, O its conclusion,
I have no alternative to your union,
O comforter of my happiness, O pocket of my life,
You have slipped away from my covenant.
